and fully open

I used a number of NEW items this time around.  First of all, my image Oddella Bow is new for me as I just got this image.  I colored her with my brand new pencils - both Faber-Castell Polychromos and Derwent Inktense - not only have I not used these pencils before, I have never colored a full image with pencils before, so this was very new to me.  Finally, I made a new variation of a fold I have used in the past by altering the shape of the cut out in the middle.   I chose my new ToDo dies for these cuts.  My sentiment is from a new Stampendous set I just bought and it is also cut with ToDo die.  I chose new buttons as well from a button pack I got on Blitsy.

Additional items used on my card are hearts from the Winston Deluxe Full Collection and the mushroom embellie is from Twiggy and Toots Digital Papercraft Collection and can also be found in the Twiggy and Toots Embellies Bundle.    Finally, my papers are from the girls papers found in the Work and Play 11 Digital Collection.

I hope you will come play along with us at Digi Choosday Challenge Blog.  Don't forget also to check out all the fabulous DT projects.

Additionally, there's fun to be had and much inspiration to be gained over at Digi Choosday Facebook Group and Polkadoodles Facebook Group, so hope you will join both places if you haven't already, and if you have, pop by for a visit and come share your Polkadoodles creations!

This week, I created an altered notebook using a technique called Faux Mosaic.  I chose an image and sentiment, as well as some papers from Serenity Fairy Wishes Bundle.   Image Serenity Blossom, which I colored with Copics, can also be purchased as a single digi HERE and you may also purchase all the sentiments in the Serenity Fairy Wishes Sentimentals Bundle.    The other papers used are from the Winston Deluxe Full Collection and the butterfly embellies are from Twiggy and Toots Digital Papercraft Collection and can also be found in the Twiggy and Toots Embellies Bundle.   Butterflies are cut out with scissors and the top butterfly has a vellum piece on top of it, and I added Stickles to the butterfly's body.

Image is cut with Frantic Stamper die and sentiment with die from my stash.  I added an acetate piece over the sentiment, printed the same as the piece underneath, so that it makes it stand out more against the background.  I also sponged Distress ink around the sides of the die cut out image.  I added ribbon and lace from my stash on the spiral binding.

Halloween Fun with Faery Ink!!

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share some inspiration using a digi from Faery Ink with you today. This month, in honor of Halloween holiday, we are showing you are "darker" side. I love to use a different set of colors than I typically use, so creating the card was great fun.

Once again, I have gone with a fancy fold - I'm not sure what this one is called - found a picture on Pinterest and just made my own. I chose design papers from SU and DCWV. I added a sentiment from Your Next Stamp and cut out with Nellie's die. I added some Jolee's Boutique stickers.

The inside though, is where the fun begins, in my opinion, thanks to the stunning Halloween Vampire Bride, which can be found in the Faery Ink Shop. I have colored her with Copics. Hair is W3, W4, R39, R59 and R89 with some RV99 thrown in for the darkest areas. Here bodice is W3, W5, W7, W9 and 100. I chose C00, C1 and C3 for her skin, R37, R39 and R59 for her lips and R32 for her cheeks. Eyes are YG63, YG67. I cut her out with Nestie and then daubed the open parts of the frame with Memento ink. I added a cute bat sticker from my stash. I really hope you like the way she turned out.

Sure hope you like my entire creation as well and hopefully it has given you some inspiration. Make sure that you visit the Faery Ink Shop to see all the wonderful images there!! Also, remember to play in our challenge which you can find at Faery Ink Facebook Group.

Hugs:)

Hello and welcome back!!  It's Tuesday, which means time for a New Challenge at Digi Choosday Challenge Blog!  Make sure to check out Polkadoodles Shop - Nikky's images are such fun to color and I love how the sets include papers, sentiments, embellies, etc - so great to be able to do one stop shopping!

As you know, Digi Choosday Challenge Blog features a New Challenge each Tues. and you have 2 weeks to play along, so we have our new challenge beginning today and running until September 22, but you also still have another week to play in last week's In The Pink (ends September 15), so hope you will come play along with both!

When thinking about what kind of shape I wanted to use for my card this week, I wanted to think outside the box, so I looked through my Polkadoodles files and came up with an Igloo shaped card!  I used this precolored igloo image from the Octavia Frosted Winter Digital Download Collection, made 2 copies, flipped one of them and then merged them together using GIMP.  I then printed them out and cut out with scissors.  I added Stickles on the front of the card.

My papers on the inside of the card are also from Octavia Frosted Winter Digital Download Collection, 2 of them were cut for the interior of the card and the third include the sentiment also from Octavia Frosted Winter Digital Download Collection, and that is cut out with scissors.  Image, which is colored with Copics and cut out with scissors, then Stickles added, is Hot Chocolate and can also be found in the Octavia Frosted Winter Digital Download Collection or as an individual image HERE.  Flowers and heart, also cut out with scissors, are also part of the fabulous Octavia Frosted Winter Digital Download Collection.  Trust me, this is a collection you don't want to miss!!

Finally, the back side of my card.  I sure hope you like it and I would love to know what you think.

I hope you will come play along with us at Digi Choosday Challenge Blog.  Don't forget also to check out all the fabulous DT projects.
