Hi everyone! It’s time for a NEW CHALLENGE at DI'S DIGI DESIGNS CHALLENGE and this time we are having a VALENTINE’S themed challenge, so anything that relates to Valentine’s, hearts, love, etc. You have until Friday, February 10 at 11:59pm EST to come play along. Hope to see you there!

For my card, I have used Flowers for Izzy image which you can find at DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS. I love this adorable image – of course I love ALL Di’s images!! I have colored my DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS’ image with Copics and cut with Nesties, added Flower Soft on the bunnies and mounted on Doodlebug Designs DP which is also cut with Nesties. Other papers are Core-dinations and Taylored Expressions. Sentiment is from Hero Arts and cut with Sizzix die and flowers are from Petaloo. I sure hope you like it. I have been playing around with some different Copic techniques which I found at LIME TART TUTORIALS thanks to my friend Natali. I think it turned out well

Hey everyone and happy Thursday! I just wanted to share my challenge card for our HABERDASHERY CHALLENGE at JUST SOME LINES BLOG. Remember you have until Friday (tomorrow), January 27 at 11:59pm EST to enter our current challenge. I love the colors Laura chose for us this time and I had such fun using them to create my card.

I chose EMO VICTORIAN 1 from JUST SOME LINES SHOP for my creation and I colored her with Copics and cut her with Nesties and then framed with Marianne Creatables die. I chose papers from Core-dinations and Taylored Expressions, I embossed the blue piece with Sizzix die and added some faux stitching around the base. Sentiment and dies are from Verve, flowers from Prima and Recollections and pins are from Taylored Expressions. Lace is from Hobby Lobby. I hope you like it and will come play along:)

For my creation today, I chose 2 images from the January NEW RELEASE as well as one of the ticket sentiments. Everything can be found at DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP. I have colored my images and sentiment with Copics and cut out using Nesties. DP are Basic Grey and We R Memory Keepers and CS is Core-dinations and Taylored Expressions. I also used a Nestie to cut the polka dot paper and Sizzix folder to emboss the hearts on the rectangle CS. Hearts at bottom cut with Verve dies and round heart Nesties daubed with Memento ink. I sure hope you like it.

Wow, another crazy start to another week! Hope everyone is doing great. This week, my oldest daughter was sent home sick from school on Monday and was home all day yesterday. She is fine now thank goodness. My boys had their school science fair projects due yesterday, which involved a lot of work plus extra driving for me as they couldn’t bring their large tri-fold boards on the bus. Today is another busy day, but I want to share some NEW CHALLENGES and creations with you

First up today is our NEW CHALLENGE over at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and this week it is LOVE and KISSES and/or SKETCH. We have an AMAZING sketch as always from our DT coordinator Katie Tate and here it is if you’d like to use it.

I have used the sketch and the theme of LOVE and KISSES and my image is VALENTINE HANNAH by SANDRA HAMMER which you can purchase at MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING and MORE. I have made the a card for Tracey featuring an image from THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE of course! I chose an “Audrey” image because my name is Audrey, just like the image. “Audrey” is holding a cupcake just for you Tracey. I colored my THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE image with Copics and Atyou Spicas and added Stickles for the cupcake frosting. Image and die cut pieces behind cut with Nesties. All DP is from The Paper Studio. CS from Taylored Expressions is embossed with Cuttlebug folder. Ribbon is organdy from JoAnn, sentiment from Verve and cut out with one of their dies. Why do Mondays always come so fast?!? The weekends just always seem to fly by so quickly. We had another busy weekend here – soccer games, birthday parties, play dates, etc., plus both boys worked on their projects for their school science fair. Always lots going on.

For my Hostess Monday post, I am showing off 2 of Wendy’s (aka Louby Loo) FABULOUS images, which can be found at DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP. I hope you will stop by the shop as well and see ALL the WONDERFUL images, sentiments and digi papers Wendy has designed.

One of my favorite aspects of DIGITAL DELIGHTS images is that you get them in jpg and png format. I always tried to combine png images on MS Word, which I know is possible, but mine never looked quite right, and then I found GIMP. GIMP is a free, image manipulation program and by following a few steps, you can combine images perfectly. (Mind you, it took me a while to perfect the technique, but once you do, it’s easy peasy!)

For this card today, I used Elvin the Toad, Elvin the Toad background and the blank checkerboard tag (I added my own sentiment using MS Word), all of which can be found at DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP. I put Elvin in front of the background. Images are colored with Copics and cut with Nestie. DPs are from Basic Grey, piece behind image also cut with Nestie. IT'S CLASSIC TODAY WITH JUST SOME LINES

Hello everyone! Here I am back with you today with my JUST SOME LINES BLOG post for the day. After beginning the day with my 2 sickies, I had to pick up another one of my kids at school at 9:30am b/c he was not feeling well. So, it has been a pretty bad day, which is also why my post for today is later than usual. I hope all of you are safe and healthy!

For my creation today, I went with a more "classic" feel to my card. I usually use a lot of bright colors in my creations, but today I went with black, white and red. I chose Winter Robin 2 from JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I love the wide variety of images that Jehanne has in the shop and this one was great fun to color with my Copics. I added ribbon from SU (wide striped), Michael's (white/red) and lace from Hobby Lobby. Button is from random button assortment I found at Michael's, silver cord from SU. Sizzix EF used on white Copic Xpress paper, red and black CS from Core-dinations and DP behind image is Doodlebug Design. Sentiment from Verve cut with Creatables die and image and backing DP cut with Nellie's dies. I hope you like it and that it will provide some inspiration to try some of Jehanne's great variety of images!!

Well, amazing how less than 12 hours can turn a day from great to awful. Yesterday was a wonderful day – it was my husband’s birthday, I got to meet him for lunch (which NEVER happens), we had a nice dinner and sang to him. Then, around midnight, my younger son came in our room and said he had gotten sick, and about 5 hours after that, my younger daughter got sick. Just praying nobody else in the house gets it.

Anyhow, we have a GREAT NEW CHALLENGE for you today at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and it is EMBOSSING and/or SKETCH. I can’t wait to see what everyone creates. Really been working on my shading and creating depth recently and very pleased with how this turned out Image cut with Nesties as is My Mind’s Eye DP behind it. Other DP also from My Mind’s Eye and CS is Core-dinations. Sentiment is from Clear and Simple stamps, cut with Nesties and Hero Arts bling added. Ribbon is from Offray. Embossed piece done with folder from Lifestyle Crafts.

Happy Wednesday to everyone – wow, is it really Wednesday already?!? We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and it is STITCHING and/or SKETCH. Here is the sketch if you’d like to use it.

I have used the sketch as well as added so faux stitching to my creation. I have used one of the new stamps Girly Girl Buffy by Alisa Ramirez from The Pixie Cottage Collection. All of the images and stamps can be found at MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING and MORE along with a great selection of die cuts, papers and other card making/scrapbooking products.

For today’s card, I have colored my stamped image with Copics and cut out using Nesties. All DP is from Heidi Grace. For today’s creation, I have chosen Little Dumpling New Year’s Girl and one of the Baby sentiments from DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP. One of our friends had her baby on Saturday – actually last baby of the year born in our city – so I thought this image and sentiment was perfect for her!
I colored everything with Copics, using Fiskars glitter gel pens for baby’s sash, which says “Happy New Year” (the glitter pens don’t always photograph well. I used Core-dinations CS and Trimcraft DP. Ribbon is from my stash, pearls from Prima, shapes cut with Nesties, embossed with Cuttlebug folder, borders cut with Marianne die. Image distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink. I sure hope you like it

Happy Wednesday everyone! I am sitting at my computer and it is so quiet. The kids went back to school today and it seems strange having the house so quiet - even the dogs are napping. I am looking forward to the new year and what adventures and experiences it may hold!!

Jehanne, our FABULOUS owner and illustrator at JUST SOME LINES, has been busy creating wonderful new images for everyone to enjoy while us DT gals were on break. So, now we have the great privilege of being able to share these images with you:)

I had so much fun coloring this image with my Copics - one of my new year's resolutions is to take my coloring up a notch, hopefully I can do that! I am also resolving to take better photos of my creations because after spending so much time on the coloring and layouts, I'd like that to be obvious in the photo. We'll see...

Happy New Year all! I have realized today that I am an expert at wasting time LOL. I guess maybe because life has been so busy during the holidays that today I just felt like doing nothing! I spent most of the day surfing the web and watching American football – it was a perfectly relaxing day – also slept til noon!

Wow, I can't believe it's been almost a week since my last post! I am back to blogging this week with DTs returning from winter/holiday breaks and my own life being less crazy. Hard to believe the kids will go back to school in 5 days - breaks always seem to go so quickly.

For my card I combined the DAISY DOODLE images "Snow worries be Happy" and "Snow worries be Happy 2." I added the snowman in front of the sign/snowballs image using GIMP and then colored with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens, cut with Nesties and then added Stickles on the snow balls. Bo Bunny background papers cut with Marianne die. Ribbon is from American Crafts, all DP is Bo Bunny, snowflake stickers are from K and Co. CS from Core-dinations. Hello everyone and Merry Christmas to all of you. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day surrounded by loved ones. For those who don't celebrate Christmas, I wish you and safe and fabulous day surrounded by family and friends. Our Christmas morning began early - the kids awoke around 3am to find that Santa had left a nice stash of gifts for them. They never went back to sleep but weren't allowed to open gifts until 8am when the grown-ups got up - although we were all pretty much awake with all the chattering going on downstairs by the tree.

I made the card below for my babysitter, Caitlin, who is a Christmas baby and turned 21 today! Caitlin has been watching my kids since she was 15 so it is cool to see her reach another milestone:)

I have used "Maisy Muff" image from DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS for my card. This image is so cute and I love the little penguin. I colored the image with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens then cut with Nesties and added Stickles for the fur trim on her hat and on her muff and also for the snow. Papers are Core-dinations CS, DCWV DP and silver speckled vellum that I embossed with Sizzix folder - also did that on the pink piece. Sentiments are from Darcie's Heart and Home (Christmas) and Pink By Design (Birthday). I added brown lace from my stash and bling flourish from Prima.

This card was also made for our challenge at KABOODLE DOODLES "O Christmas Tree," which runs through late tonight, so get your entries linked up over there!

So, go ahead and look at this photo and find something from it that inspires you. For me, it was the color combo that gave me inspiration. I used "cupcake" image from THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE, colored it with Copics, fiskars glitter gel pens and added JudiKinz glaze. All cuts to the image and backing layers are cut with Nesties. Papers are Coredinations and My Mind's Eye, flowers from Recollections, sentiment cut with Lifestyle Crafts die is from Pink By Design. I sure hope you like it and will come play along!!

Happy Monday everyone! Wow, less than a week til Christmas - where did the time go?!? We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you this week at THERE'S MAGIC IN THE AIR WITH PAPER CUPCAKES and our challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES WITH A BIRD. Happy Thursday to all!! Hope your holiday preparations are going well. This has been a melancholy week for me. On Sat., one of my husbands work colleagues passed away. He had been battling pancreatic cancer, so it wasn't a huge shock, but still sad and he was a wonderful man. Then on Tues., I found out that one of my dear friends has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She is expected to make a full recovery, but if you all could send some prayers out to her, I would be grateful.

So, now onto more fun news! It's THURSDAY SHOWCASE over at DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and as always, the DT girls have created some FABULOUS projects! I hope you will go take a look, and if you have time, venture over to their personal blogs and leave them some love:)

My creation today follows both the sketch and the challenge theme of Anything Christmas. I have chosen Winter Door by Sandra Hammer which can be found at Michelle's Scrapbooking! I have colored the image with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens and added Aleene's glitter snow, then I masked the image with vellum and airbrused the background with my Copics. I am not the greatest at airbrushing yet, but I think it tured out pretty cool. I cut image out with Lifestyle Crafts dies, sentiment from Unity with Nesties, poinsetta paper with Martha Stewart punch and glitter paper background with Cheery Lynn die. DP is Basic Grey and CS is Coredinations. Sure hope you like it and enjoy the hop!!

Bling flower is from Maya Rd. and sentiment is from Taylored Expressions (sorry you can't see the wording too well) and cut with Nesties.

I have a project to share today for our HOMEMADE HOLIDAY GIFTS Challenge at JUST SOME LINES BLOG and it is an ornament. I bought some plastic ornaments at Michael's and ran acrylic paint and some various Adirondak alcohol inks through the inside to create it. I added a tag using JUST SOME LINES Puppy - Christmas Trouble, which I colored with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens and then cut out using Nellie's die. I then put a We R Memory Keepers large eyelet through the tag and attached some silver ribbon from my stash. Happy Thursday morning all. Please accept my apologies if you have tried to e-mail me in the last 48 hours and have not gotten a response. My life continues to be a bit crazy - yesterday an AOL issue prevented me from accessing e-mail for most of the day and I now have over 400 items in my inbox!

MORE CHRISTMAS FUN AT JUST SOME LINES!!

Happy Wednesday!! It's my turn to post something on JUST SOME LINES BLOG today and I have another Christmas creation for you:)

Before I get on with my project, I have had a crazy couple of days, and just need to get some of it off my chest so bear with me:) Monday, it was nasty rain here all day, and it was heavy rain all day, not just light mist or sprinkles, but heavy rain. I always pick my oldest daughter up from school on Mondays and Wednesdays for tutoring after school. I have to get there early b/c the area you have to go to pick up the kids is very small and if you don't get there early enough, you won't get out for a half an hr! So, I get there every Mon. and Weds., turn off the car, but leave music on and work on grocery lists, answering e-mails on my iPad, etc. Well, this Monday (2 days ago), I go to turn on my car after my daughter gets in and it is DEAD!! Thankfully, I was able to go into the school and find some staff members who were able to jump my car after I tried calling people for 1/2 hr. Felt bad because they had to stand out in the pouring rain. Then, I dropped my chenille glove in puddle of water when getting back into car.

Later Monday night, I burnt my thumb opening an oven bag that I was cooking a turkey in. Then yesterday, I get the new battery for my van and my cell phone died, so off to Verizon and got a new cell phone - will take some getting used to - still a "dumb" phone as I like to call it - no touch screen, web or data plan, just for calling and texting - but different from the one I've had the past 3 years!

Ok, so sorry for babbling, feeling better now. Want to share Jehanne's beautiful image of "Curly Sue Belts out a tune", which you can find at JUST SOME LINES SHOP. I adore this image and imagine her singing beautiful Christmas carols. I have colored her with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens, cut with Nesties as with backing, which I also embossed with Sizzix folder. Sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs and says "Christmas Greetings" (still not good with my camera) and cut with Lifestyle Crafts die. Flowers and pins are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I was inspired by Laura's pin making (see JUST SOME LINES BLOG for her post - right below mine) to use pins, although mine aren't homemade and not nearly as lovely. Ribbon is from Michaels. All DP is Imaginisce and all CS is Coredinations. Hope you enjoy it!!

I have chosen "Christmas Cheers" from DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS for this week's card. I added glitter for the snow and glitter flecks for the girl's trim on her coat and hat. All other coloring done with Copics, Atyou Spicas and Fiskars glitter gel pens. Flowers are from Prima, I sprayed them with Smooch irradescent spray and stuck American Crafts buttons on them. I cut the image with Lifestyle Crafts die, used Nesties for the banner and used a sentiment from Taylored Expressions (sorry it is hard to read in this picture). Ribbon was a gift from a swap I hosted years ago. I added silver specked vellum, SU Whisper White, MS border punch and Sizzix Snowflake EF. I sure hope you like it!

Happy Thursday everyone - 1 day closer to the weekend:) Hope you are all having a great week so far. Mine has been busy but pretty good - I have had some time to work on my crafting, which always makes me happy!

I am experimenting with making my photos look better, so that is why there is a different angle on this one - now if I could just get the true color to show nicely when the card is standing upright, we'll be all set! For my card today, I used "Jingles and Tree" image, Snowflakes digi paper and one of the Snow Sentiments - all from DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP. I colored the image with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens, cut with Nesties, added daubed Memento ink for sky, Stickle for bird's trim on hat, Flower Soft for bird's tummy, Liquid Pearl and Recollections micro beads for snow on tree. Frame cut with Nesties, sparkly white paper embossed with Sizzix folder, ribbon from stash, DP is Kaisercraft and CS is Coredinations. Hope you like it:)

GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS WITH THE PIXIE COTTAGE

It's time for a NEW CHALLENGE at THE PIXIE COTTAGE BLOG!! This weeks challenge is Holiday Decor items such as ornaments, banners, table arrangements etc. OR we'd like a card using the sketch. If you submit a card instead of the decor item then it must follow the sketch.

Here is the sketch should you choose the card option. Remember you can use the sketch or the optional technique. The randomly picked winner will win two stamps of their choice from the Pixie Cottage Collection (available at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More). Here is my card this week using Hannah's Stocking by Sandra Hammer. I am super thrilled at how my card turned out and I love this image, but you should definitely check out the decor projects and other card creations by the DT over at THE PIXIE COTTAGE BLOG because they will knock your socks off!!

I stamped Sandra's wonderful image on SU sparkle white CS - I have not used this with my Copics before, so it was an experiment. I love how the coloring turned out, although I have to admit this is not the best paper to use with Copics - made some of them seem very dry. I also added Aleene's sparkly snow which I found at Joanna Sheen's shop. Papers are from Nikki Sivils and coredinations, image cut out using Nesties as is sentiment and backing. Sentiment from Our Craft Lounge clear stamps. I sure hope you like it and will come play along!!

I used papers from Kaisercraft as well as the tag, on which I added an eyelet and sentiment from Unity stamps. Circles are cut with Lifestyle Crafts die and corners done with an EK Success punch. I added bling from Prima as well. I am really happy at the way this turned out - vintage/shabby chic has always been one of the most challenging styles to grasp, but I love a good challenge:)

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend. Ours was very busy with family events on Thursday and Saturday and various playdates for the kids and internet shopping. All in all, not a bad way to spend 5 days. The kids are really going to be bummed having to go back to school tomorrow after being off since Wednesday.

Anyway, we have a NEW CHALLENGE this week at WHOOPSI DAISY CHALLENGE and it's WHITE ON WHITE. So, you need to use all/mainly white and your image can be colored. The DT girls came up with fabulous creations as always, so you will definitely want to go check them out at WHOOPSI DAISY CHALLENGE.

Edited to add - a bit late today due to blogger "forgetting" to post my scheduled project.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Here in US, today is already busy with food preparations, although I have to say that I am extremely fortunate to have a large extended family, so I only have to bring salad to the Thanksgiving celebration. So, once I have the topping part of the salad completed, I will be watching football and relaxing until it's time to go to hubby's brother's house.

It's SHOWCASE Thursday over at DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and I have to say that I am really pleased with my creation this week:) One of my favorite things about Digital Delights images is that they are sent in both jpg and png files. The png files are wonderful to layer using GIMP, which is a free download photo editing program. It has taken me a while to get comfortable and familiar with GIMP, but I finally feel confident in my ability to use it:)

For my card today, I have combined dog and cat from Christmas Carolers accessories set, winter window from windows background set, and sentiment from snow sentiments set. All these products, and the whole AMAZING collection of DIGITAL DELIGHTS images, can be found at DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP.

I have colored my DIGITAL DELIGHTS images with Copics, Fiskars glitter gel pen and Sakura glaze pen. I added Perfect Pearls using Tombow blender pen. Image is cut with Marianne Designs die. Sentiment is in frame added by editing using MS Word, is cut with scissors and daubed with Memento Ink. Circle is cut with Lifestyle Crafts die, ribbon is Offray, lace from Hobby Lobby and papers from Bo Bunny and Papertrey Ink. I sure hope you like it!

THE PIXIE COTTAGE - SKETCH AND/OR CHRISTMAS SET

We have a NEW CHALLENGE at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and this week it's a FABULOUS sketch, from our wonderful DT coordinator Katie Tate, and/or to make a set of goodies for Christmas - a card and a tag, box, etc. Since I love sketches as well as challenge themes, I have done both:)

For my card, I have choesn the image "To Santa from Buffy by Alisa Ramirez" and for my ornament, I have chosen ARTish's digi image "Moose Track." All images used, as well as the full line on PIXIE COTTAGE images can be found at MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING AND MORE. To play along in our challenges, you do not need to use a PIXIE COTTAGE image, but we'd certainly love to see one!!

For card, my PIXIE COTTAGE image is colored with Copics and I added flower soft and some glitter for the fur parts of the hat and for the scarf. Buttons are from Bazzill, DPs are from Papercrafting and More magazine (free monthly gift), CS from Papertrey Ink and snowflake brads from my stash. Nesties used to cute scalloped circles. Sentiment from Unity.

For the ornament, I used the faux mosaic technique for the base layer - took papers from Papercrafting and More magazine (same ones used for card) and ripped and then daubed ripped pieces. I then glued everything onto ornament, which is ceramic and from Michael's, using Mod Podge. I colored PIXIE COTTAGE image with Copics and cut out with scissors.

Sentiment is from Hero Arts clear stamps and cut with Nestie.

I have used WHOOPSI DAISY sheet #50 for my creation, taking 2 of the images from it. If you are like me, I love all Linnie's ADORABLE WHOOPSI DAISY images so much, I have trouble using only 1! I love the way these 2 images from Sheet #50 look so nice next to one another. I have colored the images with Copics and Fiskars Glitter Gel pens and cut them out with scissors. I have used papers from JillieBean Soup and GCD Studios plus ribbon from my stash and bling flowers from Maya Rd. I added a sentiment from Pink By Design clear stamps that is cut out using Lifestyle Crafts die. I hope you like it and have fun on the hop!!

Happy Thursday to all! Wow, can you believe Thanksgiving is only a week away?!? I cannot!! I'm not sure where the first half of November went, but I am not going to waste time looking for it LOL! I have 2 creations today for you using images from DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP.

My creation today features images and sentiment from the Thanksgiving Pilgrims and Thanksgiving Indians sets available at DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP. I used GIMP to put the females from each set together and then added the sentiment from the pilgrim set in between the girls. Images are colored with Copics and cut using Lifestyle Crafts die. Frame is made with Marianne Designs die. Papers are from Bazzill, Coredinations and We R Memory Keepers DP. Ribbon is from my stash, flowers from Prima and bling flowers from Maya Rd. I chose Caroling Petey and Polly for this one, plus the Church from the Church accessories set, all of which can be found at DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP along with the sentimet, which I edited on MS Word and cut with a Nestie. I colored the image with Copics, Atyou Spicas, Fiskars glitter gel pens, Sakura glaze pen and added Flower Soft and Liquid Pearl. Image and fram cut with Lifestyle Crafts dies. Papers are Bazzill and some free papers I got from Card and Papercrafting magazine. I added Offray satin ribbon and other ribbon/bow from my stash, flowers from Maya Rd. and stars from my stash to complete the card. Hope you like it.

Very dreary day today in western Ohio, but I am excited to announce a NEW CHALLENGE over at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and it is "Family Thankfulness" and/or our sketch option. Wow, had a "d'oh!!" moment there this morning. Had written this post last night, but didn't schedule it because somehow hadn't added the photo of my creation - even though I thought I added - photos are on main computer and I had gone down to add before continuing from my laptop. Anyway, been running around like a crazy woman so far today and when I came home, I realized I hadn't posted this!!

We have a NEW CHALLENGE this week at THERE'S MAGIC IN THE AIR WITH PAPER CUPCAKES and it is DT Member Shirley's choice for us to use brown, orange, blue and half circle(s). WHOOPSI DAISY - SHOW US WINTER COLORS CHALLENGE

We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you this week at WHOOPSI DAISY and it is colors of winter. You have until noon EST on Sunday, Nov. 20 to enter our challenge. While you can use any image you'd like to play along in our challenge, but to be chosen as winner or Top 3, you must use an image from WHOOPSI DAISY SHOP. When I began making my creation for this week, I had intended to use very soft purples, blues and pinks - like the coloring of my WHOOPSI DAISY images - but then I found these gorgeous winter-y papers from K and Co. and Bo Bunny, and I knew I wanted to use them, so I did:) I also used Bazzill CS, a doily, sentiment from MFT and cut with MFT die and ribbon from Paper Pretties shop added to tag. Fold is diamond fold and the tutorial is on SCS. All WHOOPSI DAISY images used here are from Sheet #34. The one on the right is flipped so she is facing the opposite direction of the one of the left. I have colored these adorable fairies with Copics, Fiskars Glitter gel pens, and Stickles for the wings of the center image and cut them out by hand. I hope you like my creation:)

Hey everyone! I am just about off to bed. As you can tell from my post earlier today, this day and the whole week for that matter, have not been the best. I am working to make some positive changes in my life, but of course, nothing comes easy!

I am a wee bit late in sharing with you my creation for DI'S DIGI DESIGNS CHALLENGE, which began on Saturday. The good news is that it is a 2 WEEK challenge, so if you haven't been able to play along yet, you still have until Friday, Oct. 18 to enter. Our challenge is RIBBON AND BOWS (must have at least 1 of each). Hello to all my wonderful friends/followers. I am just sitting here realizing that there's just not enough time in any day to do the things I'd like to do. But, I need to keep in mind that the Earth was not created in one day and even God took time off. This week was pretty crazy as my hubby was gone the first 3 days of the week and so I was the only parent available to run around all my 4 kids to their various lessons, sports and other activities. Then, our school levy failed on Tues. and sadly many of my friends who work in the schools here will lose their jobs at either the end of the calendar year or the end of the school year. So, it has just been rough and then as a result of all this additional stuff, I haven't been as on top of crafting and the activities I really love doing and which relax me.

Anyway, sorry to go on, just needed a little venting time. I have also been dealing with a bunch of weight gain over the past few years, and that really hit home when I ran into an old friend who thought I was pregnant (I am NOT!) - ugh! My friend is one of the sweetest people I know and I know she didn't have an ill intent by asking me, but it did really hit home that I need to lose weight. I have been working with a trainer since last February and then increased from 4 days a week to 6 over the summer, but I still need to be more mindful of my food intake and I am also going to work really hard to get myself off of a couple of medications that can cause weight gain. I hope you will all support me in this journey, I am going to need A LOT of encouragement!!

WEDNESDAY WITH JUST SOME LINES

Wow, it's Wednesday - in some ways I feel as though it should be Friday! The past 2 days have been so crazy busy. Today I want to share one of my very favorite images from JUST SOME LINES SHOP and it is "Little Kitten 8." I LOVE the way Jehanne draws kittens and this one is so cute looking at him from the back. It reminds me a lot of one of my dogs, who is really furry and his bushy tail sticks up when he walks away.

I colored my JUST SOME LINES image with Copics. If you are familiar with my style, then you know I cannot color just grass or just sky - have to do both! I fould this awesome sentiment, which just fits so perfectly with the image, from Hanna Stamps clear stamps. I cut the image, backing and sentiment with Nesties. The DP is from We R Memory Keepers and the CS is from Bazzill. I also added ribbon from American Crafts and button, felt flower is from Jillibean Soup. I really hope you like it, I had so much fun creating it.

Good morning everyone! Today is one of those days where I am awake, but feel like my head is just going to crash into my computer keyboard at any second. Not sure why - it's not as though I didn't sleep well, just thoroughly exhausted!

Anyhow, we have a NEW CHALLENGE over at THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE CHALLENGE and it is to show gratitude, appreciation or to thank someone, in honor of Veteran's Day, which is celebrated in the USA on November 11. The DT girls have all made wonderful and unique interpretations of our theme and I sure hope you will check out their amazing creativity at THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE CHALLENGE.

You have until Monday, Novemeber 21st to enter our challenge and while you are not required to use an image from THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE , we'd sure LOVE to see one!! My idea is that the girl is mailing a thank you card to our Troops overseas. I have colored the image with Copics and added Pearl Ex powder for the sparkly background and Liquid Pearl for the snow. I chose Bazzill and My Memory box and Bo Bunny papers, image and sentiment cut with Nesties and little dots filled in with Memento ink that I daubed while keeping Nestie in place. Flowered pearls are from Jolee's Boutique and bling in from Recollections. I hope you like it and will come play along!!

I love the look of the crisp and clear white and shades of white (cream/ivory) and then adding an image full of color. I hope you will come play along in our challenge.

I love this gorgeous image and had so much fun coloring it with Copics, Fiskars glitter gel pens and Sparkling H2Os water color paints, which I used for Yarah's tail and wings. I used papers from Bazzill and SU, pre-punched flowers from CTMH that I embossed with Cuttlebug folder. Also used Cuttlebug folder for frame and second layer. Frame and image cut with Nesties. I used vellum, which I also embossed with Cuttlebug folder for strip down the side and added ric rac ribbon from CTMH and lace from Hobby Lobby. Buttons from my stash and pearl glittered flower from Jolee's Boutique. Sentiment is from clear Hero Arts set and cut with Nesties. Hope you like it and will come play along.

For today's card, I decided on something a little different - it's a "peek-a-boo" type card - my bookmark peeks out from the center image. I am really excited how this turned out:) All DP is from Echo Park and all CS is from Bazzill. I chose DIGITAL DELIGHTS images Aliana witch and Franky topper as well as DIGITAL DELIGHTS circular "Boo to You" sentiment and "Witching you..." sentiment. I colored my images with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens. I used Nesties to cut the circle and Lifestyle Crafts die for Sentiment. Franky topper is cut with scissors. I daubed Ranger Distress Ink over the sentiment, using die cut as a guide. Spider on web is from Recollections.

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday! Today it's my turn to post on JUST SOME LINES BLOG and I have a fun creation to share:) I used "Little Witch 1" image from JUST SOME LINES' SHOP and I decided that since I have made so many "traditional" colors Halloween cards, this time, I was going to think "outside the box." So, I chose, pink, brown, purple, yellow and a small hint of blue and green to create my card.

I found this super cute sentiment from C.C. Designs rubber stamp set and cut out with Lifestyle Crafts die. I colored my JUST SOME LINES image with Copics and Atyou Spicas, cut with Nesties and daubed with Memento rich cocoa ink. Crystal bling and pearl and stars pick are from Prima, DP is from JillieBean Designs and Imaginisce and papers from Bazzill. Sure hope you like it!

Happy Tuesday - trying this again! Had this post completely done and when I went to publish it, got "blogger link broken" warning and lost half of the post - argh!! Still doing my "catch up" work after exhausting weekend - and a bit of a lazy day today plus older son's last league game of fall season (a 2-2 tie) - not quite as exciting as yesterday's excitement but still nice to watch both teams play well.

Better Late than Never!! NEW CHALLENGE AT SEW MANY CARDS - IT'S A SKETCH

Hey everyone! Wow, lots of catching up to do today. Was gone most of the weekend watching my boys play in a soccer tournament. There were a lot of special things about this particular tournament:

1. last one of fall season
2. the bigger of our two club tournaments, meaning our soccer club puts on the whole tournament
3. my hubby (boys' dad) is on the board for the tournament
4. BOTH boys' teams won!!

As you can imagine, it was a great weekend, but with hubby at the tournament sites pretty much all weekend, I was carting the boys and typically a couple teammates of theirs all weekend and got very little sleep and NO blogging time!
