ANIMALS ACTING LIKE HUMANS AT DI’S DIGI DESIGNS CHALLENGE

We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you this week at DI'S DIGI DESIGNS and it’s ANIMALS ACTING LIKE HUMANS.  So, we are looking for things that would normally be done by humans done by animals – for example, painting, playing sports, reading, etc.  You have until Friday, October 12 at 11:59pm EST to come join us.

SKETCH CHALLENGE AT WAGS N WHISKERS

Please excuse the lateness of today’s post.  My last 2 days have been overly crazy.  Thursday, hubby was out of town til late in the evening and so I had all 4 kids to run around – youngest daughter had Brownies, oldest son had soccer, all had homework plus it was trash night, shower night…  You get the idea.  I was so tired and so busy, I didn’t even have a chance to shower.  So today, I was psyched for some much needed “me” time and while on my morning walk, I got a call from elementary school that my 8 yr. old daughter has lice!  Ugh.  So, had to pick her up, but not before a quick stop home after workout only to discover oldest daughter (13) had missed the bus!  So, drive her to school, pick up youngest at different school and then off to drugstore to buy lice rid shampoo.  Took about 2 hrs. to do the shampoo and after gel treatment plus wash all her bedding, towels, blankies, etc.  Checked other kids – no signs so far, but I am a complete stress case that me or oldest daughter will get it and the treatment takes forever for long hair.

For my creation, I have chosen WAGS N WHISKERS image “Snuzzle Love.”  This image is just adorable - I have colored it with Copics and cut all shapes with Nesties.  I embossed the back circles with Cuttlebug folder.  Papers are from Bazzill and Coredinations, no DP for a change!  Ribbon and velvet trim from Taylored Expressions, sentiment from Unity and stamped on pre-cut tag that was in my stash.  Gorgeous flowers with beaded centers are Petaloo.  Brad is also from my stash.  Hope you like it and will come join us!!

Ok, so when I should be sleeping, I’m awake and vice-versa, ugh!!  I think it is all related to my stupid allergies b/c it’s so hard to be up when I can’t breathe and the allergies seem to be worse during the day.  Wow, I am on a roll with my babbling today, huh?!?

My creation this week features “Flower girl” from LITTLE MISS MUFFET SHOP.  I absolutely adore this image and had such fun coloring her with my Copics.  I then cut her out with scissors.  Sentiment is from Sizzix and cut with Sizzix dies.  Bling and flower are from Prima and ribbon is from Michael’s and SU (white).  The purse die cut is a Big Shot Pro die and I used Bazzill cardstock as base and decorated with DP from my stash.  I added the white ribbon to make a strap so it would be easy to carry.  Hope you like it

Hey everyone!  It has been another busy weekend and fall is here!  I actually don’t love fall because that means winter is right around the corner, but it’s nice to finally have temperatures under 90 degrees, although with allergies being worse each year for me, I still can’t spend too much time outside.  Oh well, nobody can have it all right?!?  LOL.

We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you this week at LITTLE MISS MUFFET and our challenge this time it is WRITING – we are looking for a page from a book, a dictionary, some text design paper, or an equivalent stamp, to add writing, text, or script to your projects.   You will have until Tuesday, September 18 to come enter your projects. Please remember, if you do not use a LITTLE MISS MUFFET STAMPS image, you get 1 entry and must follow our theme of WRITING.  However, if you play along with an image from LITTLE MISS MUFFET STAMPS,

As you can see, I’m still fixated on back to school creations – am I that thrilled my kids are back at school?!?  LOL  For my project this week, I have chosen LITTLE MISS MUFFET STAMPS image “Licorice” from the Spice Doll collection.   I have colored her with Copics and cut out with Sizzix die.  I used the slip cover template from My Time Made Easy using CS from Taylored Expressions and embellished with letter DP from My Mind’s Eye, ribbon from my stash, button from Basic Grey, twine from My Craft Spot, sentiment from Taylored Expressions cut with Lifestyle Crafts die and bling from Zva Creative.  I have added a pad of note paper to the inside thinking this would make a great teacher gift.  Hope you like it and will come join our challenge!

ANYTHING GOES AT INKY IMPRESSIONS AND I AM ON THE DT!!

Well, first of all, I am thrilled to announce that I am on the DT for one of my favorite shops INKY IMPRESSIONS!!  Have to ever used INKY IMPRESSIONS stamps?!?  They are awesome – fabulous deeply etched red rubber gives crisp, clear image the first time – no re-stamping over and over to get all the lines.  Plus, the characters are adorable, so you are definitely going to want to swing by and check out the shop!!

BACK TO SCHOOL CHALLENGE AT PIXIE DUST STUDIO!

Well, I am a wee bit late this week posting our new challenge for PIXIE DUST STUDIO CHALLENGE.   My end of week was pretty busy and the weekend was crazy busy with both boys playing in a soccer tournament and then having today off for Labor Day Holiday here in the US.  My younger son had 2 additional games today – semifinals and finals.  They came in runner up, but they played a great tournament and the final was very hard fought match and super exciting!    I can’t believe tomorrow is Tuesday – eek – today feels like Sunday!

Anyway, we do have a NEW CHALLENGE at PIXIE DUST STUDIO CHALLENGE and it is BACK TO SCHOOL (seems to be a very popular theme these past few weeks) and you have until Weds., September 5 at 7pm EST to come join us.  You are not required to use an image from PIXIE DUST STUDIO SHOP, but we’d sure LOVE to see one!!
