Remember that even though you don't have to use a FAIRY KNOLL image to play in our challenge, you can find FREEBIES as well as Brandi's AMAZING new images at FAIRY KNOLL SHOP and you'll also want to check out FAIRY KNOLL ON PCP for lots of fun and FREEBIES:)

I used one of FAIRY KNOLL's newer images - one of the winter sprites/fairies.  I hope you like her, I think she's so cute.  I colored her with Copics and Atyou Spicas and cut out using Nesties, decorated with Stickles and then daubed edges with SU lavendar lace.  Papers are SU purple, cut out with Quickutz die, K & Co. By now, some parts of the world have already celebrated New Year's, so Happy New Year to you!!  Here, in GA, where I am visiting, we have about 24 hrs. before we ring in the New Year.  To celebrate the NEW YEAR, there's a NEW CHALLENGE at SEW MANY CARDS CHALLENGE and it's NEW YEAR'S!  So get those NEW YEAR's projects done and link them up at
SEW MANY CARDS CHALLENGE by 10pm EST on Thurs., January 6th.

Remember our challenges do not require a SEW MANY CARDS image, but you must use a digi.  We'd love to see creations using SMC images.  You can find them at SEW MANY CARDS SHOP.

For my challenge card, I used Frieda frog from SEW MANY CARDS.  I love the little bow in her hair.  I colored her with Copics and Atyou Spicas and cut her out with Nesties.  Then I cut my card with SU punch in a zig zag pattern so it looks like Frieda is hopping.  Button flowers are from Sassafrass Lass, sentiment is computer generated and cut with scissors.  Blingy flowers and DP are from my stash.   Base of card is SU Melon mambo textured.  Hope you like it and that you will come play along!!

A new challenge is happening now at KABOODLE DOODLES BLOG.  The challenge is to use torn or ripped paper - you can use leftover wrapping from Christmas or just rip or tear some paper.  Obviously the other DT girls are better at this technique than me, so make sure you check out their work at KABOODLE DOODLES BLOG and if you get a chance, please visit their blogs and leave them so love.

You have until Sunday, Jan. 2 to enter our challenge because we are going WEEKLY in 2011!!  So, please make sure to come back each Monday and check out our NEW CHALLENGE!  Remember 1 entry per person and no more than 10 total challenges - that's including ours.

Also, I am now the SPONSOR COORDINATOR for KABOODLE DOODLES BLOG, so if you would like to sponsor us, please contact me at

This week, our sponsor is SHELLY'S IMAGES.  I hope you will visit there and check out Shelly's awesome images.  Thanks so much Shelly for giving the Kaboodles Doodles DT images to play with!!  I colored mine with Copics, Atyou Spicas and decorated with Stickles.  Then I ripped the edges and distressed with SU poppy parade.  I made the buttons sparkly by putting white SU fine glitter on white buttons using Judi Kins glaze.  Sizzix folder used for white and grey pieces that were cut with Nesties.  Ribbon from Michaels.  DP from my stash.  Black Bazzill textured CS used for base.  Sentiment from Pink By Design clear stamps.

Anyhow, can you tell I haven't had much sleep in the past few days?!?  Ok, so back to the CHALLENGE.  You have until next Tues., January 4, 2011 to link up your creation at FRESH BREWED DESIGNS BLOG.  It is not necessary to use FRESH BREWED DESIGNS images for your creation, but if you'd like to or simply just want to check out the shop, please go to FRESH BREWED SHOP.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone of my friends/followers.  I hope you were able to enjoy a wonderful day of peace surrounded by love.  I know I did!!

I haven't blogged or commented on anything much this week due to spending time with family as well as getting ready for Christmas.  It was a very nice week - my kids learned to snowboard and did a lot of roller skating too.  They were so excited for Christmas morning that 2 of them were up into the wee hours of the morning.

I will have some new projects this week, although will still be busy through New Year's with family, parties, etc.  So, I may not be doing as much commenting as I have until after Jan. 1.  I am thinking of all of you during this busy time and can't wait til we can "chat" more regularly again.  I also have a couple announements to share, but I will get to those later.

I know everyone is anxious to see who has won my candy, and I won't keep you in suspense too much longer;)  I want you to know that I sincerely hold each of my friends/followers in a special place in my heart and I appreciate you all SOOOO MUCH!!!  Please don't be sad if you are not chosen for this month's candy - January will bring New Year's and birthday candy (my birthday is the 13th).

Winners, please e-mail at with your address.  I will not be sending out any candy until after Jan. 1.  Thanks for your patience.  I always notify you when your goodies are on their way to you:)

I colored this AMAZING FAIRY KNOLL image with Copics and Atyou Spicas, cut with Nesties and framed with dies from Crafts U Love.  I also added stickles to the Santa hat and went non-traditional on the colors.  I rarely ever make clean and simple cards, but I just really wanted to hightlight this gorgeous image so I didn't use any embellies.  Papers are Bazzill textured for base, Prism for second layer, glitter paper from local scrapbook store, SEI DP (both layers of rectangles) and another Bazzill textured for inside of frame.  I hope you like it!  Let me know:)

Well, here I am, another day that started our promising and productive and then I would up being in bed for close to 4 hrs. with another Vertigo episode.  I am pretty sure the antibiotics that I started last Weds. have decided to stop working b/c I don't think this should still be happening and tonight's was especially awful.  UGH!!

Anyway, I don't want to bore you with the details of my issues, so I will move on to more fun stuff, like the NEW CHALLENGE over at DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY.  This challenge we are asking you to make a HOLIDAY GIFT - NO CARDS.  This week's challenge will last 3 weeks instead of the normal 2 weeks.  So, you have until late Tues., Dec. 28 EST to submit your project at DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY BLOG.  You are not required to use DS4J images in your project, but we'd sure love to see them if you have them!  Also, we offer a monthly FREEBIE at DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY SHOP.  Plus we'd love you to share your work at our DS4J CDAC GROUP as well as to come in and chat a bit:)

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY is having a DT call right now and we'd LOVE to have you join our fun team!!  You can find the details on DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY BLOG.

For my project today I made a bag that is loosely based on the tutorial I found here:  I used the measurements for the gift bag, but somehow managed to mangle and cut the paper, although eventually it turned out well, the process of assembling it was not pretty.

I chose this lovely DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY angel image this week.  I colored her with Copics and Atyou Spicas, cut out using Nellie's die, decorated with Stickles and daubed edges with SU gable green.

I took pictures of the bag from all angles.  I am using it to give a necklace to my mother-in-law.  The paper is Kaisercradt and base is SU gareden green.  Lace is Webster's Pages.  Sentiment from C.C. Designs rubber stamp, stamped in SU gable green and cut with Nestie.  Hope you like it!!
