WONDERLAND WEDNESDAY WITH JUST SOME LINES

Alice in Wonderland that is:)  It's my posting day over at JUST SOME LINES BLOG and I am using Emo Alice from JUST SOME LINES SHOP.  I love this sweet image amd just wanted to make her very subdued, so she is colored with some nice purples and greys and I like this color combo of Copics for blond hair - E50, Y21, Y26 and Y28 - just very soft and peaceful.  I added some brighter colors for the papers - using some textured red from SU with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a nice textured pink.  DP is Bo Bunny and I am not sure where the cupcake paper is from, but I just love it.
I made the sentiment using Word - thought it fit well with the image.  Flowers are some of the new Primas and I love them - nice and small and delicate with sparkle, just perfect.  I cut the image and backing with Nesties and used a Lifestyle Crafts die that I maneuvered around to fit the sentiment perfectly.  I sure hope you like it!!

EVERYTHING'S COMING UP OVALS AT SEW MANY CARDS!!

Hello all and HAPPY FRIDAY!  I love Fridays b/c it means the weekend is knocking at the door - better go open it so the weekend can enter LOL:)  It is actually raining and rather nasty here and a wee bit colder, but not too bad (low 60s).

We have a NEW CHALLENGE at SEW MANY CHALLENGES this week and it is to use OVALS on your project.  I use ovals all the time, so this was great fun for me!!

You have until 10pm EST on Thursday, Sept. 29 to enter our challenge.  While it is not necessary to use an image from SEW MANY CARDS SHOP, we'd sure love to see one!  Plus, we have a new ALMOST FREE FRIDAY image for you at SEW MANY CARDS SHOP, so head on over and pick that up!

I used last week's ALMOST FREE FRIDAY image for my creation today.  I printed it in 3 different sizes and colored them all exactly the same to make my own version of decoupage.  I think it tuned out pretty cool.  I cut the images out with scissors and used pop dots to stack them.  All perfect ovals cut with Cheery Lynn dies and all funky ovals cut with Nesties.  Not sure where Happy Birthday DP is from but other papers are Prism and SU textured CS and Basic Grey and Pebbles Inc. DP.  Flourish of pearls and gems from Prima.  Hope you like it!!

SHOWCASE THURSDAY AT DIGITAL DELIGHT!!

This is Audrey, see Audrey run, see Audrey jump, see Audrey throw cable modem OUT THE WINDOW!!  All I can say is thank goodness I am getting NEW INTERNET SERVICE installed tomorrow (and thank goodness for autoposting, when it works).

My current modem/internet provider has not been my friend for several months now, but with summer and all 4 kids home, I didn't really have time to deal with changing providers, etc. until about a month ago.  Of course, the new provider was scheduled out a month ahead, but FINALLY, tomorrow is the day for new service!  I will have no service, however, for some of the afternoon tomorrow due to the change and installing of the new stuff, but hopefully, the problems will be much much less after (I would say the problems will be eliminated, but I have been around long enough to know nothing on this Earth is perfect).

Anyhow, is THURSDAY SHOWCASE at DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and I am super excited about my card today.  You know how sometimes your crafting just all comes together so well and you LOVE the result?!?  Well, that has happened with my offering this week.  I had so much fun making it and just really psyched at the result.  I have used 3 different images from DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP  - Mickey Monkey, Happy Dance Nesbit (dog) and Hip Hop Myrtle.

I have colored my DIGITAL DELIGHTS images with Copics and added flower soft for Nesbit's chin and sparkly fluff for Mickey's tummy.  All images cut with Nesties and daubed with Memento and Staz-on Inks.  Sentiment is from a clear stamp (Hero Arts) and both labels cut with Lifestyle Crafts dies.  Flowers are from Petaloo and butterfly is from K and Co.  I used the side stair step fold and DP is from Doodlebug Design and CS is SU.  Hope you like it!!

If you have time today, please visit DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and check out all the AMAZING DT ladies' projects.  Also, there's a NEW CHALLENGE at DELIGHTFUL CHALLENGES, so make sure you stop by and check it out!!

GINGERLOFT - distressed/vintage
HERE COMES THE BOYS - bingo - die cuts, cute image and metal (inside flowers)

We're going SHABBY CHIC/VINTAGE this week at WHOOPSI DAISY CHALLENGE  and I hope you will come join the fun!!  Now I have to admit, although I LOVE the look of vintage or shabby chic creations, they are always a genre of card making that I have struggled with.  Thankfully, Linnie has so many fabulous images at WHOOPSI DAISY SHOP that I had no trouble finding a perfect image for my project.

I have colored my WHOOPSI DAISY image from Sheet #21 with Copics and cut out using Nesties and then daubed with Distress ink.  Pearls, bling and flower with Crocheted leaves are from Recollections.  Lace is from my stash.  Sentiment is from SU and cut with Lifestyle Crafts die and daubed with Memento ink.  CS is textured SU and all DP is from K and Co.

Hey everone and welcome to our NEW CHALLENGE at THERE'S MAGIC IN THE AIR with PAPER CUPCAKES!!   This week DT member Tammylee Newberry brings us our challenge. She would like to see us make a card or a project for "Someone Special" . This leaves your creativity wide open to make "something speical" for "someone special"!

You do not need to use one of our digital images to play along, but of course we would love to see a Paper Cupcakes image used. Please note: Everyone that uses a Paper Cupcakes image will be entered into the drawing twice to win.

If you don't have a Paper Cupcakes image and would like to use one you can find the below image "Flower Cupcake with Butterfly" HERE.   You can always pick your own out at the Paper Cupcake's store which you can find HERE.

For my project this week, I decided to make some little gifties.  I used a Sizzix Pro die to create this cupcake box.  I decorated it with Kaisercraft papers and then added clear acetate for the window at the top.  I then used Paper Cupcakes image "fairy cupcake," which you can find HERE to make a bookmark.  The bookmark goes inside the little box and you could also add a cupcake if you so desired.  Makes a great gift!!

Sentiment is computer generated and cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix "movers and shapers" die.  Bookmark also made using Sizzix die.  Stickles and liquid pearls added to image and coloring done with Copics.  Sparkly lace on bookmark from my stash.  I sure hop you like it.  Let me know:)
