My DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP image “Postgirl Pat.”  This is one of my new favorite images as she is just adorable and I love the skates!  I have colored her with Copics and Sakura glaze pen and cut out using Nellie’s die then daubed with Memento ink.  I found this awesome DP from Bo Bunny and added CS from CTMH, confetti snowflakes from Michael’s and ribbon from JoAnn.  Sentiment can be found in DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP “A touch of Christmas” sentiment set.  I cut it out with Nestie and daubed with Brilliance ink.  Sure hope you like it!!

It has been a very tiring week and it’s only Wednesday!  Actually I have been pretty productive this week but also very contemplative amid a local tragedy that happened over the weekend.  3 high school girls from the community right next to ours were killed in a car accident this past Saturday night.  One of the girls was the sister of one of my older son’s soccer teammates.   It has been a tough week.  I don’t typically like to bring people down when they come visit my blog, but since this is something happening here and has affected me, I just wanted to share.

QUICK AND EASY BACKGROUND TECHNIQUE WITH INKY IMPRESSIONS

Hi everyone!  It's my day to share with you on the INKY IMPRESSIONS INSPIRATIONAL BLOG.  Do you ever spend what seems like a large amount of time trying to choose a perfect patterned paper to fit with your project?  I have this problem whenever I don't pick my papers ahead of time - which happens frequently.  So, I have learned some techniques to create my own patterned paper in a quick and easy way, and I'm going to share another of those techniques today (shared one last month too:))

I then chose to color in Inky Impressions Stamps image "Lili's Pumpkin" with my Copics, Sakura pens and Staedler pens.  I cut her out with Lifestyle Crafts die, added a banner die cut from Taylored Expressions, a squirrel stick from Jolee's Boutique and a sentiment from My Craft Stop cut with Nesties.

NEW RELEASES AT DIGITAL DELIGHTS (sorry for delay)

Well, it’s been a busy and somewhat bad week, so I am a bit behind with some posts, for which I apologize.  I like staying on top of things, so when life forces me to get behind on anything – whether it’s crafting, cooking, sleeping or being late places – I get super frustrated with myself.  I know sometimes, despite our greatest efforts to the contrary, we cannot plan for everything that life throws at us, so I need to accept that and move on!

As I mentioned earlier this week, 2 of my 4 kids contracted lice again or it was a re-birth of their previous cases.  Either way, I am still having to go through their hair with a fine tooth comb at least once a day, and that takes more than an hr. to do both.  Additionally, my oldest daughter, who is Autistic, is having some major issues at school and it doesn’t help that she’s 13 and also going through puberty.  Finally, I had a bunch of appointments this week – dentist, hair, etc. – that aren’t normally part of my schedule and I had to make cupcakes for son #2’s Halloween party at school.  Sheesh!

Anyway, enough of that – not looking for sympathy, just understanding as to why I am not quite on top of posting this week.  We have a NEW RELEASE at DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP and it is Christmas related and it is FABULOUS!!   I hope you will stop by the DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG and see all the amazing DT gals’ creations. Well, just when I thought there was smooth sailing ahead, I had to deal with the return of the dreaded lice as well as a bunch of other appointments, etc. this week that are out of the norm, so I am a bit later than usual with some of my posts for today.  Hint: some will be coming tomorrow – sorry for the delay, but sometimes life just gets in the way of my beloved crafting!

For my project this week, I have chosen LITTLE MISS MUFFET STAMPS image “Thelma Jean Hatter.”  I adore all the hatters so of course, I had a great time coloring her with my Copics and then fussy cutting her.  I used one of the fireworks photos for my background – I enlarged it using GIMP then printed on cardstock and cut up to create my background, which also uses Bazzill CS.  I added bling from my stash, and a sentiment from Cardz TV, which I cut with Lifestyle Crafts die.  I sure hope you like it and will come play at LITTLE MISS MUFFET.  You will also want to check out the fabulous DT inspiration!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Halloween to everyone!   Hope you are having a great week.  My week took a wee hectic turn yesterday as 2 of my 4 kids came home with lice again!  This time it was much worse, although I had found out about a different treatment in between this bout and the last one and it seems to have worked much better and quicker.  So, fingers crossed, no more lice this school year!

Before I get to my happy news, I just want to send out thoughts, prayers and well wishes to those on the east coast of the US who are being hit heavily by Tropical Storm Sandy.  We have very high winds and snow/freezing rain here, but nothing like what those on the east coast are experiencing.  Take care and stay safe!

NEW CHALLENGE AT PIXIE DUST STUDIO

I am presently exhausted after another weekend of both boys playing in a soccer tournament, and although this one was in town, it was not on our home fields, so there was a great deal of driving involved and driving makes me so tired!!  Not to mention the fact that most of the past 2 days was spent at soccer fields.   The good news though is that we don’t have tournaments again until March 2013!!

We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you over at MILKCOFFEE CHALLENGE and this week it is HALLOWEEN – so anything that relates to Halloween will be great for this challenge.  We can’t wait to see what you come up with!!

For today’s creation I used MILKCOFFEE SHOP image “Madeline and Puppy.”  I chose a non-Halloween specific image and colored it with what have become part of the traditional Halloween colors – purples and greens – and then adorned it with Halloween papers and accessories.   Papers are from Cloud 9 Design, Bo Bunny and My Mind’s Eye (DP) and Taylored Expressions and Coredinations (CS).  Ribbon is from Taylored Expressions, spider web embossed with Sizzix folder, stickers are from Jolee’s Boutique and sentiment from K. Andrew Designs is cut with Sizzix die.  Hope you like it and will come play along at MILKCOFFEE CHALLENGE!
