BLOOMING DAYS Challenge at The Paper Shelter

For my card this week, I chose

Autumn Breeze digital image from The Paper Shelter Shop, I colored her with Copics and cut out using my Cameo.

This image is such fun to color.  I added papers from Doodlebug and flowers from I Am Roses.  My sentiment is from a clear stamp set in my stash and it is cut with Lifestyle Crafts die.

FAE OF THE MONTH FREE TODAY AT FAERY INK!!

Today is our One Day Fae of the Month giveaway at Faery Ink and as always, this month's image is a beauty!  Her name is Lahla Tiger Lily Fae and you can find out all the details on how to claim your free image at Faery Ink Facebook Group and Faery Ink Blog.

I always love the Fae of the Month, but this one may be my all time favorite (so far).  She lends herself to so many different color combos, it was hard to choose what direction to go in.  I decided to use some lovely cool colors this month, so from my Copics, I chose a bunch of blues, violets and blue violets plus some greys.

Image is cut with my Cameo using print and cut feature.  I chose this folded paper technique that I have seen from Pinterest and found a tutorial on a blog – will try and find the link for you.  I added ribbon from my stash, flower spray from I Am Roses and sentiment cut with Nestie.

Gothic Fun with Faery Ink and Belladonna Vampire

Hello everyone and Happy Monday!   Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Ours was supposed to be super busy, but some bad weather caused a few cancellations and postponements of some of our planned activities.  I got to use my time wisely, finally being able to get through months of e-mails!

I am here to share some Faery Ink inspiration with you today.   I have chosen the fabulous Belladonna Vampire digital stamp this month for my inspiration post.  This stunning image can be found in the Faery Ink Shop, in fact she is BRAND NEW in the shop today!.  As always, Amanda's images from Faery Ink Shop are super fun to color - always so many options and often great scenery included in the image.

I have really been enjoying experimenting with different color combos recently and trying to use ones that are less familiar to me and perhaps not as main stream in some cases.  This image begged me to use what I call Gothic color combos on it.  I am really pleased with how she turned out, I think these colors work so well with this stunning image.

Image is cut with my Cameo.  I chose papers from Bo Bunny and Heartfelt Creations for my card, I think they give it just the right spooky look that I wanted.  This is a variation of the box pop up card.  I used die cuts for the bat and haunted house, added some sentiments cut with Crealies dies and buttons from my stash.

It’s time for the reminder post for our challenge at Imagine That! For my creation today, I chose Raymond's Frogs set.  I used one of the images and one of the sentiments from this adorable set. 

Image is colored with Copics.  Both image and sentiment cut with my Cameo, sentiment inked with Memento dew drop.  I used 1 image, 2 patterned papers, which are from Basic Grey, and 3 buttons from my stash to show my 1-2-3.

This image is such fun to color.  I added papers from Echo Park, Doodlebug and Cloud 9 Design.  My number and sentiment are part of the Echo Park paper I chose.  I added Halloween embellies from Recollections, bling from Prima and ribbon from my stash.

from The Paper Shelter Shop, I colored her with Copics – I went with Sepia (brown) tones this week with a wee splash of color on her lips, cheeks and the bows on her boots.  I also added some gold using Atyou Spica.  She is cut out using the Print and Cut feature on my Cameo.

 

 

I chose papers and chipboard embellies from Kaisercraft, jute ribbon from my stash and sentiment from Eclectic Paperie cut with die from my stash.  The fold I used is a variation of an easel card.

For my winner’s post New Release creation today, I used one of the gator images from the Gator Strong set, which I colored with Copics and also one of the sentiments.  Both image and sentiment cut out with my Cameo.  I used distress ink to daub the edges of the sentiment.  I chose Doodlebug Designs and SU designer papers, added crinkle ribbon from my stash as well as buttons from Bag O’ Buttons.

INSPIRATION WITH LADY LAHLA ANTHEA FROM FAERY INK

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!   Well, I blinked, and *poof* summer ended.  I guess in terms of the lunar calendar, it is still summer here, but my kids returned to school today so figuratively, our summer is over.  In a way I am sad to see the kids head back to school, we had a fabulous summer, however, it does give me some more time to do my own projects, like crafting, tie dying and re-organizing my craft room for the hundredth time:)

I am sharing some inspiration with you today using one of this month’s new releases from Faery Ink Shop.   I have chosen the fabulous Lady Lahla Anthea Digital Stamp this month for my inspiration post.  This stunning image can be found in the Faery Ink Shop.  As always, Amanda's images from Faery Ink Shop are super fun to color - always so many options and often great scenery included in the image.

I decided this beauty was a bride (a bridesmaid would have also suited this gorgeous image, but I wanted to make her a bride).  I chose very soft colors this time around, something I usually stay away from, but I do like to push myself to try new things and do not want all my creations to look too similar.  I think the softer colors worked great and really help bring out the true depth of this wonderful image, I hope you agree.  I chose a fancy fold, I actually combined two fancy folds to make one large fancy fold and I just love how this fold nicely showcases the image without detracting from all the details of the image.

Image is colored with Copics and cut out using my Cameo.  These papers are from an Echo Park collection, ribbon is seam binding from my stash and the presents on the left side are stickers from my stash.  Additionally I added some Prima pearls.

NEW CHALLENGE AT THE PAPER SHELTER–BIRTHDAY WISHES

Happy Wednesday, it's time for a New Challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.    Before I get to the details of the challenge, I just want to say sorry for my absence of posts recently.  My kids went back to school today and the past few weeks have been just insane getting ready for that as well as my older son’s soccer tryouts and first few weeks of practices and scrimmages.  Then, on Sunday, my laptop stopped booting up and I have been without it since Monday.  I am supposed to have it back today.  I am thankful to have other computers in the house, but I adore my laptop and I miss having it and being able to transport it vs. being stuck in one room at the same desk with the desktop computer that is ethernet connected.

I used papers from Doodlebug Designs, stickers from my stash, bling dots from Your Next Stamp, ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a cupcake charm from my stash that I tied on with hemp cord.  Flowers are from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

 

 

As I often do, I decided to make a fancy fold card.  I think I saw this called a “double fold” somewhere, but not sure exactly where I found it.  I think it displays the image really well.

For my winner’s post New Release creation today, I used HippieAud set, which I am honored to say was named for me.  I want to thank Kris for making this beautiful set for me, I absolutely LOVE it and I know you all will too!!   I made 2 different creations for today, both featuring the image and one or more sentiments from the HippieAud set.

 

For this first card, I colored the hair brown so she looks like me and used papers from K & Co. stack and these awesome Prima flowers and bling flourishes.  The papers match so perfectly with the colors in the sentiments from the set and I colored my image with my Copics to represent these colors as well.

The second coloring I went with blond hair and hot colors, I love dark reds, oranges and yellows and really like how this one turned out.  I chose these fabulous Bo Bunny papers and my bling is from Your Next Stamp.

Both images and all sentiments are cut out with my Cameo.

ANIMALS ACTING LIKE HUMANS

Happy Saturday to everyone!    Hope you had a wonderful week and are enjoying the start of your weekend.   I love weekends, especially because they allow me the opportunity to sleep in!   Life has been so busy as the kids get ready to start back to school – older son has soccer tryouts, younger son starts back to club soccer this week, all kids trying to finish their summer reading books, etc.
