Hey girls! Time for Bugaboo Stamps weekly challenge - make sure you visit our challenge blog and join in the fun!! This week's challenge is to create a nontraditional Valentine's card using nontraditional colors. It was also suggested that we take an image that was not made for a Valentine's Day card. So, I used this GREAT Bugaboo Stamps Skelkinz image - I just LOVE this line of images!! I colored her with copics and cut her out using personal trimmer. CS is SU taken with teal and baja breeze. DP is Basic Grey from Sugar Rush pack. Flower brads are from The Paper Studio. White paper is GP 110. I printed sentiment from my computer and cut out with personal trimmer. Had so much fun with this one, can't wait to give to away for Valentine's Day!! Thanks for looking!:)

The Stamping Boutique Sketch Challenge 4 (SSC4) and Fab & Funky Challenge #8
I'm so excited to be able to enter this card in 2 challenges! The first is for The Stamping Boutique's sketch challenge 4 http://thestampingboutiquechallengeblog.blogspot.com/ and the second for Fab & Funky's Challenge #8 http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/2010/01/challenge-8.html, sponsored by The Stamping Boutique and requiring use of a digi image or sentiment - I was able to work in both!! The image is one of Tracey's AMAZING designs from The Stamping Boutique http://thestampingboutique.com/ which I colored with Copics and Atyou Spicas. I used white Liquid Aplique for the clouds, I love how they turned out! I cut the image out using nesties. It is printed on GP 110. For the background CS, I used SU riding hood red. Pink CS down front of card is SU textured (pretty in pink?). Ribbon is SU rose petal and real red. Brown and polka dot ribbon was a gift from SCS swap hostess. Polka dot paper is Basic Grey from Sugar Rush pack. Sentiment is from Softpencil digi stamps http://softpencilshop.blogspot.com/ Thanks so much for looking, hope you enjoy:)

Sew Many Challenges
I just love this image of donkey that I got to work with - he's soooo CUTE!! I decided to make him more of a brown color since I have seen brown donkeys many years ago when vacationing in the Cayman Islands with my husband. I colored him with Copics and made the outer parts of his ears furry using Doodlebug flock. I cut him out using Nesties and daubed edges of heart with SU real red ink. CS is SU Kraft which was also used for the inside heart. Outside hearts were cut and embossed with nesties using SU real red CS. DP is from Doodlebug Designs and ribbon is from $1 bin at Michael's. Let me know what you think and enjoy the rest of the hop!!

Softpencil Challenge 16
This card was created for Softpencil Challenge 16, which was to create a friendship card. I LOVE this Softpencil image of the girl and bunny, sooo CUTE!! I colored them with Copics, then used Flower Soft for snow and girl's hat and Doodlebug flock for bunny's ears. Sentiment is from Clear and Simple stamps and stamped in SU Old Olive. CS is SU old olive, white is GP 110 and DP is 3 Bugs in a Rug. Pink buttons are Basic Grey and maroon buttons from multi-pack from JoAnn. Border is part of Nesties frame that was too small, so I cut it up and just used top and bottom. I'm really happy how it turned out. Hope you like it, thanks for looking!!

SCACD stamps using JUGS14
I made this card for my friend Vivian's (SCS blusky)women card swap. I chose to do 2 cards in the funny woman category. This is the first one. Stamp is from Victoria Case's Everyday Gals collection made exclusively for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD - link in sidebar). I colored her with Copics and Atyou Spicas and then paper pieced the stool seat using K & Company DP. Then I cut her out with nesties. The layout I used was from JUGS14 which I had printed out but never used, I love the layout, thanks girls!! Sentiment from same stamp set and is stamped with Memento Tuxedo black, cut out with trimmer and daubed using SU melon mambo. Flower is from a set I picked up at Hobby Lobby. CS is SU basic black and DP is dovecraft from an 8 x 8 collection. Brad is from American crafts. Thanks for looking, hope you like it!!

Delightful Sketches #15, Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge 15 Colors
I made this card for Delightful Sketches #15 http://delightfulsketches.blogspot.com/2010/01/delightful-sketch-15.html and used the color choices Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge 15 (although I did not use a Mo's image, so it is not eligible for the challenge). The colors I used from Mo's challenge are SU bashful blue, elegant eggplant, almost amythest and GP white 110. I used the ADORABLE Skelkinz image from Bugaboo Stamps (see link in sidebar) - isn't she cute? I colored her with Copics using "goth" colors then cut her out with nesties and also cut a border out with nesties. Sentiment is from SU set "A Little Bit of Everything," which is also cut out using nesties. Almost Amythest paper is embossed using Quickutz EF and ribbon I used is from JoAnn's. Thanks for looking and as always, let me know what you think.
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge 23
Hi Everyone! This is my DT entry for this week's Kaboodle Doodles Challenge 23 which is to use pink, lemon, green and plum. I had a lot of fun with this card. The image is from Kaboodle Doodles, SU perfect plum is CS and I used this awesome We R Memory Keepers DP. I love how it used the lemon, green and pink, plus some orange added. Buttons are MFT, fibers from Basic Grey and flower with button in center is Sassafrass Lass. I colored the image using my copics. I had a lot of fun with this!! Head on over to Kaboodle Doodles Challenge blog and submit your project for this challenge - hope to see you there!!

World Belly Laugh Day w/ Bugaboo Stamps
Ok, so some of us on the Bugaboo Stamps DT decided to post a project for World Belly Laugh Day, which is today, January 24. I decided to use this image and sentiment of Jodie's character Stella. I colored her with Copics, cut her out with nesties, sponged the scalloped edges with SU old olive and then daubed inside the edges using SU tangerine tango. I cut the sentiment out using nesties as well and then sponged the whole cut out using SU old olive. For the title, I printed it from my computer and then daubed using SU tangerine tango after cutting out with nesties. DP is K & Co. and white is GP 110. Hope she makes you laugh today!!
Die Cuts R Us Sketch Challenge
This card was created using many products carried at DCRU - DP is Basic Grey, nesties pendant template, basic grey brads, cuttlebug EF, Stamped image from Unity Jan. Store kit and dew drops. CS is SU certainly celery and Bazzill textured pink. I followed this week's sketch challenge at DCRU to make the card. I also colored the image with copics and atyou spicas and used Stickles for the frosting. I like the way it turned out. Let me know what you think:)
Stamping Boutique Sketch Challenge, Cute card Thurs. Challenge 96
I made this card using one of Tracey's FABULOUS images from the Stamping Boutique for The Stamping Boutique Thurs. Sketch Challenge (http://thestampingboutiquechallengeblog.blogspot.com/) and for Cute Card Thurs. Challenge #96 (http://www.cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/), which is to make a card using a fairy image.
I absolutely LOVE this image and had so much fun working with it. I colored her using Copics and Atyou Spicas. Then I cut her out using nesties. She is printed on GP 110 and mounted on SU silver which is mounted on another SU paper that I embossed with a Cuttlebug EF. I used bling centered flowers from The Paper Studio on the side and printed the sentiment from my computer on silver flecked vellum. Hope you like it, thanks for looking!

I made this card for MOJO Monday 122 sketch and the Paper Cutz Challenge (http://papercutzchallenge.blogspot.com/2010/01/paper-cutz-challenge-25.html), which was to use a farm animal in your creation. I chose this ADORABLE pig from the Stamping Boutique. DP is from We R Memory Keepers and CS is Color Mates. Bow is from the Paper Studio ribbon pack and white paper is GP 110. Colored pig using copics and cut out with nesties then daubed with SU melon mambo. Sentiment is Lizzie Anne Designs stamped in SU melon mambo. Hope you like it, thanks for looking:)
Softpencil challenge 15 and Charisma Cardz Challenge #3
Hi Everyone - ARGGHHH!! Sorry had to blow off some steam. I just got 1/2 way done trying to post this and my laptop froze. My laptop just doesn't have the capabilities of our main computer that crashed last weekend. I was hoping to get a new computer today, but DH did not have the same idea:( Anyway, this is my card for Softpencil Challenge 15 (http://softpencilshop.blogspot.com/), to use your favorite layout, and Charisma Cardz Challenge #3 (http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/), to use fruity colors.
My favorite layout is a tri shutter fold, so that's what I chose for this card. Used one of Elizabeth's AWESOME Softpencil images which I colored with Copics and Atyou Spicas, then cut out with nesties and daubed using SU tangerine tango. CS is SU Tangerine tango, image in SU whisper white. Created sentiment on computer and printed out on GP 110, daubed edges with SU real red. Paper is from Basic Grey Sugar Rush collection, I embossed the green pieces using Cuttlebug EF. Thought the colors represented many different fruits, so that is why I chose them for the Charisma Cards Challenge. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think!!

SEW MANY CARDS CHALLENGE JAN. 22-28
Hi Everyone!! Still don't have my computer back yet - don't even know if they can fix it still, hope to find out today. My laptop is driving me crazy for many reasons, but at least I can post and check e-mail.
Anyway, here's the card for this week's challenge over at SEW MANY CARDS(http://sewmanychallenges.com/) This week's challenge, being sponsored by Cosmo Cricket (check out link and picture of FABULOUS prize in sidebar), is to create a card using purple, white and a splash of black. For this card I used Bazzill textured purple CS, TAC White 100#, and SU whisper white. Ribbon is SU white grosgrain. I stamped a heart from old SU set using SU basic black craft ink and SU clear embossing powder. Sentiments were done on computer. Bling is Kaisercraft. Outside sentiment cut with nesties, inside with SU punch. Sew Many Cards Cat with heart image is colored with copics and orange and polar white flower soft used for tail. Really like how this turned out - purple is my favorite color:)

SCS Sketch Challenge 264 (SC264)
I made this card for SC264, the SCS Sketch challenge that was posted today 1/20/10. Angela, the owner and artist of Sew Many Cards digis, is sponsoring the sketch this week. Thanks for a great sketch Angela!! I colored this ADORABLE image of boy with Cami with copics. I gave him a "goth" look, thought it worked well with this image. Cami is a cute little caterpillar and I chose very subtle colors for her to keep with the theme. Paper I used is from Local Scrapbook store, ribbon is from Ellen Hutson - silk by the yard, DP is Doodlebug designs. Used a Martha Stewart corner punch on paper under image. Thanks for looking!!
Sew Many Cards digi on Non-tradtional Valentine
I love this gumball machine image from Sew Many Cards. I participated in a swap on SCS for Valentine's Day cards, but the twist was no red or pink. I decided orange and turquouise made a nice color combo so I used that along with sketch 51 from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC). I really like the way everything came together. I colored the machines with copics on SU whisper white, then sprayed them with Memories Mist Irridescent and cut them out individually. I used SU tempting turquoise for the base and Not Quite Navy for the bottom strip. Orange paper is KI Memories and ribbon is from JoAnn. Flowers are Making Memories and brads are Basic Grey. Sentiment printed on computer and cut out with SU punch.

Final Stop - leave comment at second post!!!
This first project is a scrapbook page using the adorable baby with bubble bathtub. I knew the minute I received this image that it would be perfect for a "Baby's First Bath" page. I haven't done a scrapbook page in years, so I was a little worried, but I'm really pleased at how it turned out. I colored the image with Copics and then used Cotton Candy colored Stickles for the bubble bath. I cut the image and mounted on a cut out nestie. I also used nesties to cut out the spots where the pictures will go. I did the banner with an old SU alphabet set using SU pink passion ink and punched a Martha Stewart punch around the edges then affixed it to background paper using dimensionals. All DP is SEI, CS is SU and Bazzill, embellishments from Jolee's Boutique.

Jodie, owner and illustrator of Bugaboo, gave us 3 images to choose from for this Blog Hop project, and so me being me, I couldn't help but use at least one of the other images. So, I chose to make a card with this great hummingbird and flowers image. I colored the image using Copics. I am especially pleased with my shading, etc. on this image - thanks for giving me something so AWESOME to work with Jodie!! I used the sentiment from an old SU set. The sparkly discs are from Stamping Bella. Paper used is SU old olive Bazzill sparkly purple shade and Imaginesence DP. Ribbon is from a ribbon pack - sorry can't remember brand. As always, thanks for looking and I welcome any and all comments:)

SMC CHALLENGE
Ok, so Sew Many Cards first challenge of the year, woo hoo!! The challenge is anything goes this time around and what popped into my head was a Valentine theme and I loved the idea of a double pocket card. So, here it is! I used Bazzill textured CS and Imaginescence DP on front and on tags. Underneath part of tags are Creative Tags by DMD Industries. Used brown fibers for pull strings on tags (not sure of brand). You will find American Crafts brads on the sides of front pocket.
This is the tags. The first tag you pull out (front pocket) is the one with Halen the Hare. Love this bunny!! Then the back tag is this week's Friday Freebie, heart with lock and key. I colored both images with copics. For Halen, I used Doodlebug Fun Flock on her tummy and tail. For the heart, I colored the key with Atyou Spicas for a metallic look. I really had fun with this and am thrilled how it turned out. Make sure you visit the new SMC challenge blog http://sewmanychallenges.com/ Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think AND be sure to check out my blog candy!!
Softpencil challenge #14
I created this card for Softpencil's challenge 14 which is to use red, olive green and ivory/cream in a card. I chose another ADORABLE Softpencil image, this one of the doggie. I printed the sentiment on my computer. I chose SU Bravo Burgandy as my red then SU old olive and very vanilla to complete the color challenge. This week's SCS tutorial was an easel card, so I tried my hand at that. I used a Cuttlebug EF for the background and some Kaisercraft flowers held on with Basic Grey brads. Daubing done in SU bravo burgandy on TAC 80lb CS. More Basic Grey brads used on bottom part of easel. Thanks for looking! Make sure you check out my BLOG CANDY!!

Paper Maniac and Charisma Cardz Challenges
Made this card for 2 VERY FUN challenges. The Paper Maniac challenge (PMSC-01) found here http://papermaniacblog.blogspot.com/search/label/sketch%20challenge is a sketch challenge. I turned the sketch on its side, but otherwise didn't vary too much. The next challenge, Charisma Cardz is a challenge of using Pink, Brwn, Cream and Toffee on you card. (http://charismacardz.blogspot.com/). I chose SU very vanilla for my cream color, close to cocoa for toffee, plus I also colored this GREAT image, Halen the Hare, from Sew Many Cards using a toffee color copics. The brown and pink glitter paper is from Doodlebug designs. I colored Halen's basket with copics as well and used Stampendous fun flock on his tummy for some texture. The pink sparkly dots are from Stamping Bella. I used brown fibers as well, but can't remember where I acquired them. I really had fun with these AWESOME challenges. Thanks for looking!! As always, let me know what you think.:)

Tellen's Place Blog Challenge - Silver and Blue - using Softpencil Image
Over at Tellen's place this week, the challenge is to create a card using silver and blue. I'm trying to go a little out of my "comfort" colors, and think this is a great challenge! I chose this ADORABLE image from Softpencil - I LOVE Elizabeth's illustrations:) I colored them in using Copics and Atyou Spicas and then cut out using Nesties. Daubed the edges with Encore silver ink. Base of card is SU silver, image on SU whisper white, DP is from My Mind's Eye. Found some cool Close to My Heart fibers which I think add nice touch and topped off with an old SU set I found with the sentiment "Thanks for Sharing you with me" which I think fits perfectly. Cut out sentiment with SU punch. Really happy with this card. Thanks for looking.
MOJO MONDAY 121
Here's my post for this week's Mojo Monday. Great sketch as always, thrilled I actaully got it done the first day! I used another WONDERFUL digi image and sentiment from Bugaboo Stamps. This girl cracks me up as does the sentiment. DP is K & Co., got the sparkly textured purple at Local Scrapbook Store, not sure the brand. Ribbon from SU and SU old olive and bravo burgandy inks used for daubing. SU whisper white used for image. Colored her with copics and paper pieced chair - reminds me of something from the Seventies:) Made popcorn with liquid applique. Circle with sentiment cut with SU punch and nesties used on scallop circle. Thanks for taking the time to see my card. Please let me know what you think!

I colored this cute bunny with Copics and Atyou Spicas and cut it out with a 1 1/2 and 1 1/4 punches. I used SU chocolate chip CS and DP by My Little Shoebox. The ribbon was a GREAT birthday gift from fellow DT member Michele. I chose a brad from Basic Grey's new Origins collection and then cut out the sentiment, which I printed on the computer, with SU punch. Hope you like it and don't forget to go get your free digi!!

Well, here's my creations using Angela's ADORABLE image! It's PJ Penguin and a bag of ice.
So, I guess the first thing I think of when I think of a bag of ice is that it's used for drinks. Then I thought about putting drinks on coasters and decided this new image would look great as part of a set of coasters! So, I colored PJ with Copics and Atyou spica pens, cut him out using nesties and then lamenated him to a piece of My Minds Eye DP also cut out using nesties. Then I glued it all on the coaster. For the other coasters, see post below (if you haven't already). I think the images make a SUPER nice coaster set!!

Ok, so I also knew I wanted to make a card for this month's release and the one thing I never remember when we have parties is ice! So here, PJ has his bag of ice and is wondering where the party is! For this card, I used We R Memory Keepers DP and SU Kiwi Kiss CS. I cut the cardstock in half at the 4.24 line, but did not trim the length, so it was 11". I scored at 6 1/2
and 1 1/2 lines. DP is cut 4 x 4 1/2 for front and 1.25 x 4 for top. Printed sentiments from computer then cut front sentiment out using nesties tags and secured with American Crafts brads. There are 4 pieces of velcro underneath so card will stay closed. PJ is colored with Copics and Atyou Spicas plus Stamendous fun flock used on his tummy below ice bag. Offray satin ribbon tied around card base and PJ mounted on top using SU dimensionals. For interior of the card, I cut out more DP, this time using scallop rectangle nesties for sentiment that was printed from computer and SU top note die cut for background. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and don't forget to stop by all the others and post your comments. Then stop by the main Sew Many Cards site so you can purchase your new images!! I hope you love them as much as I do!!:)

Sugar Nellie challenge
I made this card for my friend Cheryl (aka Deej, SCS cherthosestamps). I used a sketch layout from Sugar Nellie's Sugar Bowl Blog (meant to enter this in the challenge for that week, but missed the date due to holidays). Anyway, I used a Sugar Nellie image and sentiment from Clear and Simple stamps. Colored with copics and used crystal effects on bouquet that girl is holding. Used Memento Tuxedo Black and Staz-On jet black inks. DP is Basic Grey, other papers are from Local Scrapbook Store, but not sure who makes. White is TAC 100#. Also cut out scallop circle using nesties. Thanks for looking, would love to know what you think!!

Kaboodle Challenge 20 and sketch challenge
Somehow I am very confused as to what day and date it actually is, yikes! Anyhoo, I created the above card for a number of things as well. First, I created it for Kaboodle challenge #20 which was to create something that made you think of sparkling winter. I also created this for a sketch challenge where you had to follow a sketch that I printed out and use vellum with your card. Small problem, I didn't write down which blog I got it from and now I cannot find it! So, I colored one of my favorite digis from Sew Many Cards, PJ Penguin. I colored PJ using copics, made his tummy fluffy and sparkly using Flower Soft polar white and his snowballs sparkle thanks to Icicle Stickles. I mounted him on SU silver cardstock, DCWV DP and silver glitter vellum. When I think of sparkling winter, it also makes me think of Peace, so that is the sentiment I chose form Stampendous clear set. I used e.line bling on either side of the sentiment and Eyelets-etc. snowflake eyelets on top. I'm really happy with how he turned out. Thanks again for stopping by. Please post comments for me!:)
Crazy4Challenges17, Colour Create Challenge
Ok I made the following card for 3 reasons: 1st for Crazy4Challenges sketch #17, 2nd for last week's Colour Create Challenge, which was to use pink, burgandy and ivory on a card, but most importantly, it's in honor of my friend Shelli being cancer free for almost 4 years!! Yay Shelli:) To make this card, I used an image and sentiment from Sassy Studios, paper from Basic Grey, SU pink, burgandy, whisper white and very vanilla. The ribbon is from We R Memory Keepers. I used SU bravo burgandy to daub the edges and my nesties to cut the circles. I colored the image with copics and then sprayed with Memories Irridescent mist b/c Shelli likes the sparkles. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think!
