COLOR CHALLENGE AND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION SHOWCASE AT MILKCOFFEE

Have you missed me again?  This time I promise to be back more regularly.  I am seriously not sure what happened over the past few weeks – I guess just lots of personal changes in my life – kids getting out of school, our “house guest” of almost a year finally moving out, my oldest becoming a teenager, my 11 year old “graduating” from elementary school, some changes in medication, realization that I needed to go on a diet…  Suffice it to say, I did not deal so well with all this change and on top of that, I stepped down from some DTs that I had been on a very long time and it is always sad to move on, even though in my heart I know I did the right thing!

Anyway, I want to share some cards I have made recently for a challenge going on at MILKCOFFEE BLOG as well as for this week’s showcase.  First up is my card of “Lisbeth Sleeps with her bunny” which you can find at MILKCOFFEE SHOP.  This card is for our monthly color challenge happening at MILKCOFFEE BLOG.  We are using the following color scheme and you are required to use a MILKCOFFEE SHOP image to come play along or you can pick up the FREEBIE available on MILKCOFFEE BLOG.  Either way, we hope you will come play along!!

I have colored her with Copics and cut out using Lifestyle Craft dies.  I chose DP from my stash and Bazzill CS.  I added ribbon from my stash and flowers from Petaloo.  Sentiment is from Darcie’s rubber stamps and I think it just fits perfectly.  The layout is partially based on a old Seems a Little Sketchy sketch.  Hope you like it.

My other card today is MILKCOFFEE SHOP image “Charlotte and Bunny Love Balloon” and it is a birthday card as the MILKCOFFEE DT gals are showcasing birthday celebration images this week.  I have colored this cute image with Copics, cut out with Lifestyle Crafts die, made pennants using Lifestyle Crafts die, added Doodlebug DP, Prima crystals and Petaloo flower.  Ribbon is from Back to Basics, sentiment from Stampendous and cut with Amuse die and CS is Bazzill.  Hope you like it!!
