I have one more New Release project for CRAFTY SENTIMENTS DESIGNS to share with you and this one features "Mermaid Pearls," which, like all the New Release images, is AWESOME! I decided to make a slider card with waves for this image so I just want to give a quick tutorial on how I did it.
First, you need a waves punch (or die cut will work too) and a slot punch. I like to make 3 sets of waves, so I chose 3 different blue papers of varying colors and textures.
First, you need a waves punch (or die cut will work too) and a slot punch. I like to make 3 sets of waves, so I chose 3 different blue papers of varying colors and textures.
I cut the blue pieces 1/4 inch shorter each time, so my strips are 1.5, 1.25 and 1 inch by 5.5 inches and I punch out the waves on each strip, then I reverse the middle strip so you can see all the waves clearly.
Next I find my background paper/papers - here I have chosen Fancy Pants Designs DP and Bazzill CS and punch out a path that the image will move back and forth across.
To make the image move, I take 2 pennies and stick one on each side of my card and affix with a pop up dot. The penny moves nicely back and forth through the cut out portion.
Next, I fussy cut the image, which I colored with Copics and Sakura pens.
Here is the finished product - I added a sentiment from C.C. Designs which I cut out with a Nestie. Sure hope you like it:)
And another view so you cand see how she moves:)
