BUGABOO STAMPS CHALLENGE - GO FOR THE GOLD!!

Here's my entry for Bugaboo Stamps Sat. Challenge for Feb. 13 - GO FOR THE GOLD in honor of the Olympics.  Check it out at http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/  Remember, you can enter as many times as you want as long as you use a different project for each entry.
For my card, I used SU Metallic gold for the background CS, real red for the top layer that I embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.  Image is on GP 110 and sentiment from SU outlines set stamped with SU real red on TAC 100.  Button from grab bag pack from JoAnn, image and sentiment cut out using nesties and daubed with Encore gold ink from SU.  Cowboy colored with copics and horseshoe done with platinum stickles.  As always, thanks for looking.  Most of software has been installed on new computer and I have gotten printer set up, so now I just need to transfer over a bunch of files and then I should be caught up and ready to get back on track!

SEW MANY CARDS CHALLENGE!! SPONSORED BY TELLEN'S PLACE AND WAGS 'N WHISKERS

Not one to comment much on my personal existence on my blog, I must share this with everyone and apologize for this post being late.  Yesterday, our long struggling main computer decided to check out for good.  May it RIP.  My laptop, which has also been acting "funny" recently also quit on me as did our printer, so it was a great day - NOT!  I started setting up our newly purchased computer, router, etc. last night about 5pm.  I have to say that I have very little working knowledge of computers, so I was pretty proud of myself that I not only hooked up (wired) the computer, but I also installed a new router and created a new network plus downloaded or installed about half the programs that were on our former computer.  That takes me to now 2:45pm on Fri. - mind you, I threw in about 7 hrs. sleep somewhere in there.  I now have over 250 e-mails and am late for this post.  SO SORRY to Angela, Jeri and the rest of the SMC DT for my tardiness.

This week's challenge, sponsored by both Tellen's Designs and Wags 'N Whiskers is a Valentine themed card using white, pink and red.  SU pink piroutte, riding hood red and TAC white 100 are what I used for CS.  Used Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug to do 3 strips plus white background.  Colored SEW MANY CARDS wonderful image with Copics, Atyou Spicas and Smooch.  Sentiment computer generated and punched with SU punch.  Thanks for looking - please click on badges/blinkies on my sidebar to visit our WONDERFUL sponsers and the SEW MANY CARDS store.  HUGS!!

BUGABOO STAMPS OLDY BUT GOODY DAY!!

Hello!  Today is "oldy but goody" day at BUGABOO STAMPS - http://bugaboostamps.com/Shop_digistamps.html - plus Jodie has a 10% off special going on through Feb. 15, so make sure you head on over there!!

I LOVE Bugaboo's Skelekinz line (did you notice?!? LOL) and so I just couldn't help using this Skelekinz baby - isn't she adorable??!!??  I colored her with Copics - I made her "goth" for my friend (and Bugaboo Guest DT!) Gabby's swap on SCS.  I cut her out with nesties and then daubed edges with SU vintage violet ink.  Behind her is another nestie cut out of SU basic black.  White CS is GP 110.  Sentiment is computer generated and cut using nesties and daubed with SU vintage violet.  Background CS is Bazzill textured.  I can't remember brand of fibers - eek.  As always, thanks for looking!!  Tell me what you think.

SEW MANY CARDS SPONSOR THE CUTTING CAFE

I designed this card with an image provided by one of SMC's Febraury sponsors, The Cutting Cafe http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/  You have got to check out their store!!  They have AWESOME digis, templates and digi background papers, PLUS you get an AMAZING bonus of being able to check out the work of their owner, Regina Easter.  Regina - I LOVE your work, you are soo talented!!

I designed this card using this great Cutting Cafe image, I was drawn to it the moment I saw it - what a great image for any card, but especially Valentine's.  I colored it with copics, trimmed with my paper trimmer and then daubed the edges with SU melon mambo.  CS is GP white 110, SU Garden Green and Bazzill sparkly, textured pink.  Ribbon was in my ribbon bin - no idea where it came from.  Thanks so much for looking!

KABOODLE DOODLES CHALLENGE #24 - DOTS & STRIPES

Well, it's time for another challenge over at Kaboodle Doodles - WOO HOO!!  Image and video hosting by TinyPic  So head on over and enter your project for a chance to win the newest digi papers from Kaboodle Doodles!

This week's challenge is to create something using dots and stripes.  I decided to go with something different this week, so I did an altered item instead of a card.   I altered this purse from Creative Imaginations.  I covered it with Kaboodle Doodles brand new digi paper - I just LOVE the colors.  I coated them with heavy permanent adhesive on the back using my Xyron.  The image, which I colored with copic and then cut with nesties, is from Bugaboo Stamps (http://www.bugaboostamps.com/Shop_digistamps.html).

Here's some additional views.  I also used this cute sentiment from Bugaboo.   I thought the clip, from We R Memory Keepers, added a nice touch.  I'm thinking one of my girls could use this for her school Valentine's.

BUGABOO STAMPS OLDY BUT GOODY DAY!!

Today is Thurs. which means time for another "oldy but goody" image from Bugaboo stamps http://www.bugaboostamps.com/Shop_digistamps.html  I had never done this kind of card before - think it's called a spring card b/c it springs forward - so I decided to try it and I love the way it turned out!!  I used Bugaboo's frazzled Stella and sentiment (which could be my own personal mantra:)) is also from Bugaboo.  I colored Stella with copics and cut her out.  She is mounted using SU dimensionals on top of Basic Grey Sugar Rush DP (one of my personal favs) which is trimmed using new EK Success border punch that I picked up at JoAnn.  I also added e. by Prima pearls.  Flowers are also Prima and brads are Bo Bunny.  CS is SU tangerine tango.  Hope you enjoy this!!  Leave me some love please:)
