RED and/or SKETCH CHALLENGE AT THE PIXIE COTTAGE!

Good morning everyone!  Well, we FINALLY have some more snow here (less than 1/2 inch) after record high temperatures the past couple weeks.  I am not a huge fan of snow, however, I like to have 1 GOOD snow so the kids can sled and play outside in it for a day or 2 and then it can go away til next year LOL!!

We have a NEW CHALLENGE this week at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and this week we want to see RED and/or SKETCH.   You have until 11:59pm CST on February 14 (Valentine’s) to enter our challenge.  Although we’d LOVE to see you use an image or rubber stamp from MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING and MORE, it is not required to play in our challenge.

For my creation today, I have used the adorable rubber stamp  Fairy Molly by Eileen Gutierrez which can be found at MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING and MORE.  I have colored her with Copics and added Stickles for her wings.  She is cut with Nesties and flanked by flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and sentiments from My Craft Spot.  Papers are Doodlebug Designs DP and Core-dinations CS.  I sure hope you like it and will come play along!!

Hey I am back again tonight – woo hoo.  Just watching the very end of the Super Bowl, which after most of the game being boring, it has been pretty exciting in this last quarter of play.   I love sports, so I actually don’t hugely care who wins this game, just like to see a good game!!

JUST SOME LINES “IT’S A DOG’S LIFE” CHALLENGE REMINDER

Hey everyone!  Wow, no posts since Thursday – very unlike me.  I have been fighting a cold since Weds. or Thurs. night (seriously can’t remember), but I am feeling better now.  After a lot of sleep, Echinacea, Zinc over the past few days, I am feeling much better.  It probably doesn’t hurt that the weather has been unseasonably warm and it’s been nice and sunny out.

WHITE ON WHITE CHALLENGE AT THE CARD CRAFTER’S CIRCLE

Well, another card that’s a wee bit late but better late than never!  I have to tell you that when I first heard of White On White challenges, I though ugh!  But, it has become one of my very favorite challenges – I just LOVE how gorgeous a colored image looks against a white background, and so I am super thrilled that our challenge this week at CARD CRAFTER'S CIRCLE is white on white.  I’m also excited to be sponsored by one of my favorite digital stamp companies WHOOPSI DAISY SHOP!!

I used an image from WHOOPSI DAISY SHOP on my creation – she’s from sheet.  I colored her with Copics and added a wee bit of Fiskars glitter gel pens to her dots on the trim of her dress and petticoat pants.  Lace from stash, vellum cut with Sizzix die and embossed with Sizzix EF.  Pearls and bling from Prima, sentiment from My Craft Spot and cut with Verve die.  Thin white paper from Marcos embossed with Sizzix EF.  Image cut with scissors.

BIRTHDAY SURPRISE CREATION AT JUST SOME LINES

Hey everyone!  Today I am showing off one of the NEWEST images from JUST SOME LINES SHOP and that is EMO JESSI and GIFT and what an ADORABLE image it is! I have colored it with all Copics, made the grass with a technique I read about on Lime Tart Blog. I chose papers from Bazzill and Coredinations for this cutie and DP from Pebbles, Inc. Decided to go with a color scheme which strayed from my typical color choices and I am loving how it turned out. I added some ribbon from my stash, buttons from Bag o' Buttons and sentiment from Whimsy stamps. All shape cuts done with Nesties except triangles which I did with Lifestyle Crafts dies. Hope you like it!!

Good Wednesday morning and happy February 1st!  Wow, how is it February already?!?  Crazy!  Today is the Science Fair at my younger kids’ elementary school, so I am driving them in, which means a little more time for the computer this morning

Anyway, NEW CHALLENGE today at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and our choice this week is CLEAN and SIMPLE and/or sketch.  Now, for those who follow my blog, you know that I am not a CLEAN and SIMPLE crafter for the most part – I usually tend to opt for MORE embellies instead of less or none, but I LOVE a good challenge, and so I used the sketch and kept my card CAS (side note I don’t care for the term “Clean and Simple,” simple seems so pejorative to me, would much rather call it “Clean and Classy.”  But I digress…

I have chosen Smiles and his Cupcake by Alisa Ramirez as my image for today.  You can find this cutie at MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING and MORE.  While we’d love to see an image from The Pixie Cottage Collection at MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING and MORE, it is not required to play in our challenge.  Challenge entries accepted until 11:59pm CST on Tuesday, February 7.  Can’t wait to see what you create

VALENTINE’S AT THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE:)

Happy Tuesday everyone, hope you are having a lovely beginning to your week.  It is over 50 degrees here in Ohio, unheard of for this time of year!

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!  I just wanted to share my challenge card for our HABERDASHERY CHALLENGE at JUST SOME LINES BLOG.  Remember you have until Friday (tomorrow), January 27 at 11:59pm EST to enter our current challenge.  I love the colors Laura chose for us this time and I had such fun using them to create my card.
