BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE AT DI'S DIGI DESIGNS!

Happy Saturday to everyone!!  Another busy week and a busy weekend to follow.  My boys are both playing in yet another soccer tournament this weekend and it's supposed to be SUPER hot and humid - ugh.   Good news is that we have a 4 day weekend, so we will have a day or 2 to recuperate depending on how far into the tournament their teams go - semi-finals and finals are played on Monday.

Happy Wednesday everyone!  So tired this morning for some unknown reason, although thankfully, the middle part of today will not be super busy, so hopefully I can get some rest and refocus.:)

TUTORIAL FOR CRAFTY SENTIMENTS NEW RELEASE!

Happy Tuesday to everyone!  Today I am sharing a tutorial on the CRAFTY SENTIMENTS INSPIRATION BLOG using one of our brand New Releases:

Delicate Flowers

 I made an aperture card. First, I cut out shape in my cardstock using smaller of 2 Nesties.  On the left is the DP mounted on CS for the interior of card and on the right is the DP mounted on CS for the front of the card.

I used 2 Nesties to make a frame around the opening on the front of the card.

This is the interior of the card.

Here I have cut out my image using the smaller of the 2 Nesties and have adhered her to the center of the card, making sure she is in line with the aperture (open part) when I close the card.

Finally, I cut another ring using both Nesties in order to frame my image in the interior of the card.

I colored this awesome image with Copics.  DP is from a very old, but still one of my favorite Basic Grey sets.  CS is from Bazzill and Core-dinations.  Sentiment from MFT is cut out with Nestie and I added Prima crystals.

For the interior I added this lovely pearl flourish from Prima.  Sure hope you like it and remember you can find this fabulous rubber stamps plus all 9 other New Releases at CRAFTY SENTIMENTS DESIGNS SHOP

Hi everyone!  It's my DT post day today at WHIMSY AND STARS STUDIO BLOG.  I hope you are all having a fabulous week.  If you've been reading my posts this week, you know my kids went back to school on Tuesday.  I thought that would give me more "free" time, but it has actually been a super busy week getting all their forms and beginning of the year stuff sorted!  Next week should be much less hectic:)

Today’s preview features “Off to the Ball” image and introduces our new character “Isobel” part of our new Lollipop Dreams Series.  Trust me, you are going to adore ALL the images in the new release, 10 total!!

For today’s creation, I have colored Isobel with Copics and Sakura pens.  I have used papers from DCWV DP and CS from Bazzill.  Buttons are from DeNami Designs, sentiment is from Pink Cat Studio, cut out with Nestie and Prima pearl added.  I really love this gorgeous stamp and I know you will too!!

I hope today is the start of a great week for all of you.  It’s going to be another busy one here with dr. appts., meet the teacher nights and the kids going back to school.  I’ve had a great summer with my kids at home, so I will be having mixed emotions this week!

For my creation, I have used the new “Ribbon Girl” image from WHIMSY AND STARS STUDIO SHOP.  Image is colored with Copics and cut out with Nestie.  I chose to make the Autism ribbon, which is puzzle pieces in primary colors.  My oldest daughter is Autistic and she’s such a special person, and although she can make life very challenging, I love her with all my heart and soul.  I found this sentiment from Verve clear stamps and just thought it fit so perfectly and it rings so true.   Sentiment is cut with Nestie and corner punch.  Papers are Echo Park DP and Bazzill CS.  I also used an EK Success punch and SU buttons to decorate my card.  Thanks so much for visiting today

Happy Saturday to everyone!!  Another busy week and a busy weekend to follow.  My boys are both playing in a soccer tournament this weekend, so lots of running around, but the fun kind:)  Shouldn't be too hot, which will be great.  Then, school starts next week, so still busy but should have more time for blogging, etc. while the kids are at school:)

For my creation today, I have chosen DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP image Flower Power Daisy, who I have colored with Copics, cut with Lifestyle Crafts die and daubed with Memento ink.  I made a little tote bag which I put post-it notes in.  I varied the instructions for a 3 x 3 post-it bag that I found on Splitcoast b/c I wanted a larger bag to showcase this cute image.  I added brads from Bo Bunny to hold the handle.  Papers are SU DP and CS as well as Bazzill CS.  I used a Fiskars punch for the handle and the cut outs on the bag.   Sure hope you like it and will come play along with us!!

MY TUTORIAL DAY FOR YUMI & FUMI HANDMADE BLOG

Hi everyone, today is my first post on theYumi & Fumi Handmade blog since joining the awesome Yumi & Fumi Handmade DT!!  Today I am sharing a quick project idea that I had after finding Fumi with Turtle stamp at YUMI & FUMI HANDMADE SHOP.  This stamp is from the Peek-A-Boo series and I pictured Fumi looking out from a door, so I decided to make one for her to stand behind.

First I cut out a piece of cardstock, and then I used my score pal to make the hinge part of the door by scoring in about 1/2 inch.

Next I chose my Nesties for windows in the door - I decided 1 at the top and 3 below.

After cutting the windows, I trimmed my piece of Magic Mesh, which is already pre-sticky

and then adhered it to the inside.  I love the way it turned out, but decided I wanted some more personality for the door, so I found some SU DP and added the windows by lining it up with my already cut out door.

I think it looks a lot better with the additional designed paper over top.  Then, I added it to my base card, where I also used SU papers.  I added a brad from Bo Bunny for the door knob.

Then I added my Copic colored Yumi with Turtle stamp that I cut out with scissors as well as this cute sentiment from Jaded Blossom, which is cut with Nestie.  Bling from Mark Richards rounds out my creation.  I sure hope you like it and that you found my tutorial helpful.
