Digi Choosday Spring Colors challenge

Hello and welcome back!!  It's Tuesday, which means time for a New Challenge at Digi Choosday Challenge Blog!  Make sure to check out Polkadoodles Shop - Nikky's images are such fun to color and I love how you can purchase sets that include papers, sentiments, embellies, design sheets and more - so great to be able to do one stop shopping!

As you know, Digi Choosday Challenge Blog features a New Challenge each Tuesday and you have 2 weeks to play along, so we have our new challenge beginning today and running until April 12 and also our Flower Frenzy Challenge which closes on April 5.   Sure hope you will come play along!

Today's New Challenge is Spring Colors.   Make sure you read the rules on the right sidebar at Digi Choosday Challenge Blog so that you can play along. Also, a new DIGI CHOOSDAY DISCOUNT is available until MIDNIGHT GMT so make sure you take advantage of that!!

You'll definitely want to check out both of our Newest Releases:  Lavender Tea Printables and Scrapbooking Download Collection and Lemonade Fizz Printables and Scrapbooking Collection - how awesome are these?!?  You can pick them up as Digital Downloads at Polkadoodles Shop or by clicking on the links above.

This week, I chose all the elements for my project this week from the Lemonade Fizz Download Collection.  Like all of the Polkadoodles collections, this collection provides unlimited options for all your paper crafting needs.  I chose to use the template for the watering can, papers, digis and sentiment from Lemonade Fizz Download Collection.   I included several different angles of my completed project so you could see all the embellies I added.

Additionally, I used my Copics as watercolors when coloring these images and wanted to share a quick tutorial on how you can also achieve this effect.   You will need your markers, colorless blender ink and a water pen.  Fill the water pen with colorless blender, then begin coloring by saturating each small area you are about to color with the colorless blender ink and apply your Copics over it.  Start with your darkest color and move through to your mid-tones and then finish with the lightest.   Continue to go over the image with the water pen while you add other colors and blend out your coloring until you achieve your desired results.  You can always go back and add more of your darkest color at the end.

You don't need to worry about going outside the lines if you are cutting your images out.  Additionally, if you are not cutting your image out, but go outside the lines, you can always blend out later by doing a highlight around the image.

I hope you will come play along with us at Digi Choosday Challenge Blog.  Don't forget also to check out all the fabulous DT projects.

Additionally, there's fun to be had and much inspiration to be gained over at Digi Choosday Facebook Group and Polkadoodles Facebook Group, so hope you will join both places if you haven't already, and if you have, pop by for a visit and come share your Polkadoodles creations!

Enjoy your day!  Many hugs!!
