For my project this week, I have chosen LITTLE MISS MUFFET STAMPS image Bandit Boy Gavin in winter.  I have colored him with Copics and Sakura pens and added Stickles for the snow.  I fussy cut out the image.  Papers are American Crafts, Gina K. Designs and DP is Bo Bunny.  I added embellies from Jolee’s Boutique (snowflake) and Martha Stewart Crafts (hat and gloves).  Sparkly ribbon is from The Ribbon Carousel, faux stitching done with Sakura pen and sentiment from Taylored Expressions and cut with MFT die.  Hope you like it and will come play along!!

It’s another Christmas card to share today and this one is using an image from MELONHEADZ ILLUSTRATIONS.  If you haven’t checked out MELONHEADZ ILLUSTRATIONS yet, you definitely should, it features amazing bundles of images from Illustrator/Owner Nikki and are available in black and white or color versions. NEW CHALLENGE AT WHOOPSI DAISY–CELEBRATE!!

Hello everyone!  As you can imagine, life has been quite busy and now it’s officially Christmas here in USA, although it is just past midnight, so no kids up and no opening presents for at least about 6 hrs.  I want to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a safe, healthy and happy New Year!  I wish I could go to all your blogs individually and spread some Christmas cheer, but that’s not going to happen, so I will wish it collectively here

For today’s card, I used this beauty from WHOOPSI DAISY SHOP Sheet 412.  I think she is so sweet.  I went with papers from Gina K and Bo Bunny DP, some fabulous new ribbon from Inky Impressions, and of course, colored with my trusty Copics and added some Sakura glaze pen.  Image cut with Lifestyle Crafts die, MFT die used for scallop border, Lifestyle Crafts die used to cut sentiment from Lizzie Anne Designs.  I also used my corner rounder punch.  Sure hope you like it and will come join our challenge!!

HOLIDAY CHEER WITH EMBOSSING CHALLENGE AT DIGI DARLAS!

Happy Monday morning everyone!   Before I get to the challenge announcement, I just want to take a few minutes to comment and reflect on the Newton, Conn. tragedy.   I do not live in Connecticut and I do not personally know anyone who was directly involved in this senseless killing spree, however, I have been affected very deeply by this horrid incident.  I am not sure if it hit so close to home because I have young, elementary age school children, because I have spent many, many years volunteering at the elementary or what, but I have been in great despair over the events that occurred on Fri.  I want to send my heartfelt prayers and sympathy to anyone who lost someone and to those whose lives were taken by such a ruthless and senseless act, words cannot express the sadness I feel.  I am hoping that any happiness that comes with the holidays can be salvaged for those grieving over these horrible losses.  God Bless us everyone!

NEW CREATION USING JEN'S DIGI STAMPS:)

Hey everyone!  I am away for a couple days while my husband is attending a work seminar.  It is the first time in what seems like months, although is probably only a few weeks, that I've been able to "relax."  I made a bunch of cards before I left and I want to share some of them with you over the coming days.


My first creation is using "Cottan and Candy as Santa" from JEN'S DIGIS Christmas collection.  I have colored them with Copics, using a slightly muted take on traditional Christmas colors and then added Stickles for the fur trim on their hats and Candy's dress.  I added a flower from Petaloo, lace from Webster's Pages and bling from Darice.  The papers I used are from K and Co. and American Crafts CS.  Sentiment is from Jaded Blossom clear stamps.  Circle is cut wit Nestie.  Sure hope you like it and hope it provides some inspiration:)

For my creation this week, I have chosen INKY IMPRESSIONS “WINTER FASHION MARLEE” – I had originally colored her with my Copics last week for my tutorial on adding a brick wall.  I cut her out with Nesties and made a Chrismtas tag.  I used Nesties for all the layers from the same set – even for the sentiment.  I used DP from Carta Bella from last year, a very old Basic Grey button with twine and charm from Inky Impressions affixed.  Both my sparkly flower from Petaloo and the blingy flower from Darice that’s in the middle have been part of my stash for ages and sentiment is from an old Papertrey Ink set.  Ribbon on top from The Ribbon Carousel.  Hope you like it and will come play along!!

For my card today, I chose this adorable image “Izzy’s Christmas Nut Surprise” from DI’S DIGI DOWNLOADS.  I had so much fun coloring this amazing image.  I colored it with Copics, Sakura glaze pens, Stickles and added Aleene’s snow glue for the snow.  I cut it out with Sizzix die.  I used a plastic bag from the wedding section of Michael’s and cut paper from Basic Grey and added scallops with Martha Stewart punch for the back and base of bag.  I put in candy canes and use ribbon from Taylored Expressions to tie it up.  Sure hope you like it and will come join us!

Hey everyone!  Sorry for my lack of posts so far this week – life has been busier than usual and may continue that way until the new year, but my hope is to be able to post every day until the end of year – we’ll see…

SHORT TUTORIAL AND MORE TOMORROW

Hi everyone!  I am here with my Inkettes DT inspiration post that you can also find on INKY IMPRESSIONS INSPIRATION BLOG.  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  My day started with a couple dr. trips for my oldest daughter, so I am running a bit behind, and I am exhausted, so this is going to be very short and sweet.  I have some EXCITING NEWS and more projects to share, but my brain is moving so slow now everything else is going to need to wait for tomorrow.

Anyway, I LOVE my Copics, but I am definitely not very artistic beyond being able to stay with in the lines when I color.  However, in the course of coloring a huge variety of stamped images, I realized that sometimes an image needs some sort of scenery added to it and I don't have many chair or coach type stamps.  So, I started experimenting with my Copics and have created several different types of scenes by adding walls, grass, sidewalk or dirt ground.

Today, I have chosen to work with INKY IMPRESSIONS SHOP image "Winter Fashion Marlee."  I colored her with my Copics as usual.   For her fur trim, I used one of the lightest blues and my Copic blender.

Now, she looks fine and I could have used her as is, but I decided she looks like she is sitting on something and today, it's a brick wall.  So, I started with my darkest color N6 in this case, and made the top of the wall.

Next, I added N4 and N2 to finish out the wall.  I always start darkest and go lighter since the part she would be sitting on would be the darkest.  I do added shadows where her legs are for reflection.

Finally, I take the broad end of my Copic blender and I make "bricks" and voila, there she is, sitting on a wall, ready to be added to any of your projects.  Hope you like it!!

For my project this week, I have chosen LITTLE MISS MUFFET STAMPS image Mitten and have made a Christmas ornament.  For the image, I have colored with Copics and added Flower Soft for the trim on the stocking.  I affixed the image to the ornament with some hardware, a brad and ribbon.  Ornament is a clear plastic ornament from Michaels that I have covered with Cloud 9 Designs torn scraps, daubed with Memento Ink and then glued on with Mod Podge.  I added some ribbon to hang ornament from Taylored Expressions.  Sentiment is from Taylored Expressions, cut with Nestie and daubed with Memento ink.  Sure hope you like it and will come play along!!
