Anyway, sorry to go on, just needed a little venting time. I have also been dealing with a bunch of weight gain over the past few years, and that really hit home when I ran into an old friend who thought I was pregnant (I am NOT!) - ugh! My friend is one of the sweetest people I know and I know she didn't have an ill intent by asking me, but it did really hit home that I need to lose weight. I have been working with a trainer since last February and then increased from 4 days a week to 6 over the summer, but I still need to be more mindful of my food intake and I am also going to work really hard to get myself off of a couple of medications that can cause weight gain. I hope you will all support me in this journey, I am going to need A LOT of encouragement!!
Finally, with the holidays approaching, I have decided I need to pick some CANDY WINNERS and put up some NEW CANDY!

As for the weight, have a look at Scottish Slimmers website and forum. Loads of very easy to make tasty food. The only thing is it's all made from scratch but soooooooo worth it.

Audrey, you can do it, just don't be too hard on yourself. It has taken me 3 weeks to lose 5 lbs. & that 5lbs. didn't show up until the 3rd week, not even 1 lb in the first 2 weeks. I usually would give up after not seeing a change in a week. But I stuck to it and have finally seen a lose.
Good luck, just keep at it.

As each year goes by a kilo or two is gained far easier than losing it! But we shall keep trying! Hey Audrey, hope you will have a less hectic life soon and about the weight...........slowly but steady does it and you already proved you can do it by working with a personal trainer! These months are not the easiest but you will manage beause you want to!!!!!

Oh, I am still breastfidding my 5 months baby and have those 23 extra kilos on me! Everybody who sees me says to me the same for having a good birth (I guess the 20 kilos are in my belly)... I hope I ll get back to my previous kilos sometime (except if I ll get pregnant again)... But I guess if you try enough you will succeed it! Just keep thinking yourself thin with joy!

I joined slimming world which is here in the UK 5 weeks ago and I have 2lb to go and that will be 1 stone that I will lost. It's not a diet as such, it's changing the way you eat so you can still eat plenty you just need to know which don't have fats. If you have your mind set then I am sure you will do well with the weight loss.

Hi Audrey, Moving those pounds gets tougher as I get older. I just keep saying to myself "I didn't put it on overnight & it won't come off overnight". I'd lost 4 stone and dropped 4 dress sizes before I went on anti-depressants last year and one of the reasons I couldn't face seeing anyone was knowing I had put all my weight back on again and one person in particular had been very cruel about it. Now I am off the tablets the weight is starting to shift slowly but I know I've got a long path to travel and it definitely gets harder to shift as we get older :(
Know that you are not alone darling, but you are a strong woman, you have coped with so much and this will not break you.

First and foremost, you sound like an amazingly wonderful and dedicated mother. That alone takes up most of the crafting time. I sincerely send you positive and supportive wishes for your personal goals and know that you are not alone in this! That's for darn sure.... Proportions are my worst enemy, but eating breakfast is probably the hardest thing to do. I'm a coffee drinker. Curious to know if you think it really helps and what you recommend.
