VALENTINE’S AT THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE:)

Happy Tuesday everyone, hope you are having a lovely beginning to your week.  It is over 50 degrees here in Ohio, unheard of for this time of year!

We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you over at THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE CHALLENGE and this week we are celebrating Valentine’s Day.  You have until Monday, February 13 to come play along!  While we do not require an image from THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE to be used to enter our challenge, using one will get you 2 entries per project for purposes of our random.org drawing for the winner.  Additionally, if you do a layout, you will get 2 entries per layout.

For my card today, I used THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE image “Princess Jennifer Latte Heartbreaker.”  I love this fun image and had a great time coloring it with my Copics and Fiskars  glitter gel pens.  I cut out using Lifestyle Crafts dies.  All paper is Core-dinations except silver piece from SU, which is embossed with Sizzix folder.  Ribbon from local scrapbook store – Simply Scrapbooks.  Bling is from Doodlebug designs, textured heart brads from We R Memory Keeps, sentiment from Scrapmaster’s Paradise cut with Nesites.  DP from We R Memory Keepers.  Hope you like it and will come play along!

VALENTINE’S CHALLENGE AT DI’S DIGI DESIGNS!!

Hi everyone!  It’s time for a NEW CHALLENGE at DI'S DIGI DESIGNS CHALLENGE and this time we are having a VALENTINE’S themed challenge, so anything that relates to Valentine’s, hearts, love, etc.  You have until Friday, February 10 at 11:59pm EST to come play along.  Hope to see you there!

For my card, I have used Flowers for Izzy image which you can find at DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS.  I love this adorable image – of course I love ALL Di’s images!!  I have colored my DI'S DIGI DOWNLOADS’ image with Copics and cut with Nesties, added Flower Soft on the bunnies and mounted on Doodlebug Designs DP which is also cut with Nesties.  Other papers are Core-dinations and Taylored Expressions.  Sentiment is from Hero Arts and cut with Sizzix die and flowers are from Petaloo.  I sure hope you like it.  I have been playing around with some different Copic techniques which I found at LIME TART TUTORIALS thanks to my friend Natali.  I think it turned out well

JUST SOME LINES HABERDASHERY CHALLENGE

Hey everyone and happy Thursday!  I just wanted to share my challenge card for our HABERDASHERY CHALLENGE at JUST SOME LINES BLOG.  Remember you have until Friday (tomorrow), January 27 at 11:59pm EST to enter our current challenge.  I love the colors Laura chose for us this time and I had such fun using them to create my card.

I chose EMO VICTORIAN 1 from JUST SOME LINES SHOP for my creation and I colored her with Copics and cut her with Nesties and then framed with Marianne Creatables die.  I chose papers from Core-dinations and Taylored Expressions, I embossed the blue piece with Sizzix die and added some faux stitching around the base.  Sentiment and dies are from Verve, flowers from Prima and Recollections and pins are from Taylored Expressions.  Lace is from Hobby Lobby.  I hope you like it and will come play along:)

Wow, another crazy start to another week!  Hope everyone is doing great.  This week, my oldest daughter was sent home sick from school on Monday and was home all day yesterday.  She is fine now thank goodness.  My boys had their school science fair projects due yesterday, which involved a lot of work plus extra driving for me as they couldn’t bring their large tri-fold boards on the bus.  Today is another busy day, but I want to share some NEW CHALLENGES and creations with you

First up today is our NEW CHALLENGE over at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and this week it is LOVE and KISSES and/or SKETCH.  We have an AMAZING sketch as always from our DT coordinator Katie Tate and here it is if you’d like to use it.

I have made the a card for Tracey featuring an image from THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE of course!  I chose an “Audrey” image because my name is Audrey, just like the image.  “Audrey” is holding a cupcake just for you Tracey.  I colored my THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE image with Copics and Atyou Spicas and added Stickles for the cupcake frosting.  Image and die cut pieces behind cut with Nesties.  All DP is from The Paper Studio.  CS from Taylored Expressions is embossed with Cuttlebug folder.  Ribbon is organdy from JoAnn, sentiment from Verve and cut out with one of their dies.  I hope you like it and will join me and some of the other DT gals in wishing Tracey a Happy Birthday (either on THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE CHALLENGE or TRACEY'S PERSONAL BLOG)!

I’M MONDAY HOSTESS AT DIGITAL DELIGHTS:)

Why do Mondays always come so fast?!?  The weekends just always seem to fly by so quickly.  We had another busy weekend here – soccer games, birthday parties, play dates, etc., plus both boys worked on their projects for their school science fair.  Always lots going on.

One of my favorite aspects of DIGITAL DELIGHTS images is that you get them in jpg and png format.   I always tried to combine png images on MS Word, which I know is possible, but mine never looked quite right, and then I found GIMP.  GIMP is a free, image manipulation program and by following a few steps, you can combine images perfectly.  (Mind you, it took me a while to perfect the technique, but once you do, it’s easy peasy!)

For this card today, I used Elvin the Toad, Elvin the Toad background and the blank checkerboard tag (I added my own sentiment using MS Word), all of which can be found at DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP.   I put Elvin in front of the background.  Images are colored with Copics and cut with Nestie.  DPs are from Basic Grey, piece behind image also cut with Nestie.  Ribbon is from DeNami Designs and CS is Core-dinations.  Hope you like it and go check out DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG.

IT'S CLASSIC TODAY WITH JUST SOME LINES

Hello everyone!  Here I am back with you today with my JUST SOME LINES BLOG post for the day.  After beginning the day with my 2 sickies, I had to pick up another one of my kids at school at 9:30am b/c he was not feeling well.  So, it has been a pretty bad day, which is also why my post for today is later than usual.  I hope all of you are safe and healthy!

For my creation today, I went with a more "classic" feel to my card.  I usually use a lot of bright colors in my creations, but today I went with black, white and red.  I chose Winter Robin 2 from JUST SOME LINES SHOP.  I love the wide variety of images that Jehanne has in the shop and this one was great fun to color with my Copics.  I added ribbon from SU (wide striped), Michael's (white/red) and lace from Hobby Lobby.  Button is from random button assortment I found at Michael's, silver cord from SU.  Sizzix EF used on white Copic Xpress paper, red and black CS from Core-dinations and DP behind image is Doodlebug Design.  Sentiment from Verve cut with Creatables die and image and backing DP cut with Nellie's dies.  I hope you like it and that it will provide some inspiration to try some of Jehanne's great variety of images!!

EMBOSSING AND/OR SKETCH CHALLENGE AT THE PIXIE COTTAGE

Well, amazing how less than 12 hours can turn a day from great to awful.  Yesterday was a wonderful day – it was my husband’s birthday, I got to meet him for lunch (which NEVER happens), we had a nice dinner and sang to him.  Then, around midnight, my younger son came in our room and said he had gotten sick, and about 5 hours after that, my younger daughter got sick.  Just praying nobody else in the house gets it.

Anyhow, we have a GREAT NEW CHALLENGE for you today at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and it is EMBOSSING and/or SKETCH.  I can’t wait to see what everyone creates.  Remember, you have until Tues., January 24 at 11:59pm CST to play along.  We’d love to see you use an image from MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING and MORE, but it is not required to play in our challenge.  You will want to go check out the shop, however, as new inventory is arriving daily!!

For today’s project, I have used THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE image “KK the Skater.”  I have colored her with Copics and Fiskars glitter gel pens and cut out with Nesties.  Scalloped circles are cut with Lifestyle Crafts dies and flower piece in center of circles is cut with Cheery Lynn die (it was part of the large lace heart die).  Sentiment from MFT is cut with die from Whimsy Stamps.  Buttons are Bo Bunny and papers are Webster’s Pages and My Mind’s Eye.  Snowflake is from Jolee’s Boutique.  All CS from Core-dinations.  I sure hope you like it and will come play along

For my creation, I chose WHOOPSI DAISY SHOP images from sheets 50 (little boy) and sheet 311(little girl).  I flipped the little girl image so she was facing the boy.  I used Bo Bunny DP and Core-dinations CS.  I cut all heart shapes with Cheery Lynn dies.  Sentiment is from MFT and is cut with Nestie.  I colored the images with Copics and added Flower Soft for all fur trim and pom poms on hats.  Snowflakes are from Jolee’s Boutique.  I sure hope you like it and will come play along

Happy Wednesday to everyone – wow, is it really Wednesday already?!?  We have a NEW CHALLENGE for you at THE PIXIE COTTAGE and it is STITCHING and/or SKETCH.  Here is the sketch if you’d like to use it.

I have used the sketch as well as added so faux stitching to my creation.  I have used one of the new stamps Girly Girl Buffy by Alisa Ramirez from The Pixie Cottage Collection.  All of the images and stamps can be found at MICHELLE'S SCRAPBOOKING and MORE along with a great selection of die cuts, papers and other card making/scrapbooking products.

For today’s card, I have colored my stamped image with Copics and cut out using Nesties.  All DP is from Heidi Grace.  Circles cut with Nesties and I have added faux stitching around the circles and around the base.  Sentiment is from Unity and cut with Nestie.  All CS is Core-dinations.  I added buttons from Bag O’ Buttons for the finishing touch.  I sure hope you like it and will come play along – you have until 11:59pm CST on Tuesday, January 17th.

FROM THE HEART CHALLENGE AT THERE’S MAGIC IN THE AIR

Hello and welcome to a NEW CHALLENGE at THERE'S MAGIC IN THE AIR W/ PAPER CUPCAKES.  Before I get to our NEW CHALLENGE, a couple of “housekeeping” updates for you – we are going to bi-weekly challenges, so you will now have 2 weeks to complete our challenge.  Also, we will now post Mondays at 6pm, so be sure and check us out every other Monday at that time!!
