ALL APOLOGIES & POSTS LATER - HOPEFULLY

Hi everyone!  I have literally been in bed for the past 24 hr. only being able to stay upright for about 5 mins. at a time every few hrs.  I am feeling a bit better now, but still not great.  My poor kids are off school today for conferences and I've barely seen them b/c I've been in bed.  Thankfully I did all their confernces last Fri.  I have posts for

Sorry this is so late posting.  I have been in bed since 1:30pm with some horrible virus that made me dizzy and have a tummy ache.  I'm not sure if I caught it from the older of my 2 boys or if I had a bad reaction to lunch that I ate at a restaurant, but the past 5.5 hrs. have been very UNFUN!  I hope you can make it to the party - it's 3 hrs. long, so you have plenty of time.

For my card today, I chose Merilee, Santa's Helper.  I think she is SOO SWEET!!  I chose to follow the sketch from  SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH .

SU textured always artichoke is the base for my card.  DPs are from Echo Park (snowflakes) and from Imaginisce (scarf & sock paper).  Pearl flowers are from Jolee's Boutique, roses are from Webster's Pages, sparkly snowflake brad is from Doodlebug Design and sentiment is from C.C. Designs rubber stamps, stamped in SU cherry cobbler, cut with nestie and daubed with SU old olive.  DIGITAL DELIGHTS image is colored with Copics, Atyou Spicas and Stickles.  Image and snowflakes DP are cut with Quickutz dies.  Thanks so much for looking.

DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY - CHRISTMAS

It's time for a NEW CHALLENGE at DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY and this week's CHALLENGE is to create a Christmas card based on a song, poem or event.  I chose this AMAZING image by Jen for my card this week - you can find it at DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY SHOP along with lots of other AWESOME images.

I chose to use words from the song "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and the words that inspired my card are "Glory to the NEW BORN KING."  I had so much fun with this image.  I colored it with Copics and Atyou Spicas and then cut it out by hand.  I used a charm I found at my LSS and hung it from the card using gold cord.  Pearls are from Mark Richard's.  I used a Shadow Box card.  I have never made one before and really like how it turned out.  I used textured SU papers and DP is Jillie Bean and Echo Park.  I really like the simplicity of the card and it feels very peaceful to me.  I hope you like it and that you come play along with our challenge.  Our challenge runs until Tues., Nov. 23 in USA, so get your projects made and linked up at DIGISTAMPS 4 JOY BLOG.  Can't wait to see what you create!!

This week, we are using the 2011 printable calendar with Michu, a kite and 2 birds.  I think these make great gifts so I have chosen to make them into magnets for my friends and family to keep on their refrigerators.  I have made 2 different ones - one is more spring/summer-y and one more for winter. 

I used Copic markers and  Atyou Spicas on both magnets.  On the top one, I used JudiKins glaze on the kite.  On the bottom magnet, I used flower soft for the snow and I also paper pieced little coats on the birds and Michu using Imaginisce and Jillie Bean DP.  I used a sentiment from C.C. Designs which I stamped with SU cherry cobbler ink.  I made the laminated magnets using my Xyron.  I hope you like my projects - please let me know what you think:)

FUN AT FAIRY KNOLL HOT MESS CHALLENGE!

Hi everyone!  Hope you are all doing great.  I am feeling a lot better, thanks for all the well wishes.  Things have been busy - spent a couple hrs. yesterday attending conferences for each of my 4 children, then today was kids' bowling league at 9am (for 3 younger), pizza party at roller rink for kid #2 soccer team and then went out to dinner with DH.  I did squeeze in a trip to the scrapbook store which was great fun:)

For my card this week, I used CANDY CANE GINGER.  I think this images is so cute with the little girl gingerbread!!  I followed the sketch from SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE.

I used Basic Grey DP, grosgrain ribbon is from The Angel Co.  Pearls are from JoAnn (came on a spool).  I colored the image with Copics, Atyou Spicas and used Stickles for the candy cane.  Image is cut using Nesties.  Base CS is Bazzill textured green.  I daubed the edges of image cut out with SU riding hood red.  I really like how it turned out.  I hope you do too:)  Also, I hope you will go visit DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP and pick up some of the new images and sentiments!!
