SKETCH CHALLENGE AT LITTLE MISS MUFFET!

Well, today is my kids’ last day of school until mid-August.  As with anything, the last day always is one of mixed emotions – sadness at leaving your teacher and class, excitement for summer, nervousness for next school year, uncertainty and so forth.  As a child, I loved the end of the school year because summer was awesome, but as a parent the end of the school year is more difficult to deal with.  While I love watching my children grow and mature and move more into adulthood, it is also somewhat scary and a little sad to know they are not babies anymore.  Ok, sorry to go on…

NEW PROJECT FOR LITTLE BLUE BUTTON STAMPS

Wow, May has been a super busy month for me, and I have to say, I am looking forward to some more relaxing and restful days in June!  Yesterday was a particularly bad day - forgot to give youngest daughter her lunch to put in her backpack (left it on counter), younger son broke one of basement windows underneath our deck by kicking a soccer ball into it, oldest daughter forgot to get on the bus after school and then to top it all off, my dogs got in a fight.  Hopefully today will be a better day!

Today I want to share a creation with this adorable image from our May release at LITTLE BLUE BUTTON STAMPS MISS LILLY REPORTER.  I had such fun coloring this sweetie with my Copics and I added some Sakura glitter pen around the camera lens and flash then cut her out with Lifestyle Crafts die.  Frame is cut with Nestie from Core-dinations paper.  I also used SU papers and green DP.  My other DP, with the cool criss cross pattern, is from SEI.  It is one of my favorite DP.  I then added crinkle ribbon and a flower from Petaloo.  Bling flourish is from Zva Creative and bling dots from Prima.  I love the sentiment, which I found in an MFT clear stamp set and cut out with Memory Box die.  Sure hope you like it!  Thanks for looking:)

SHOW US STITCHING AT CRAFTY SENTIMENTS

Hi everyone!  Have you missed me?!?  It has been since Saturday that I have posted here.  I was out of town from Friday around 4pm til last night at 7pm for a soccer tournament that both my boys played – 8 total games over 3 days.  I love to watch my boys play and staying in a hotel isn’t necessarily bad, but I have to say, there is just something very comforting about being home.  I know sometimes we all get lost or even bored in the daily routine, but after you’ve been off that schedule for a few days, you realize just how natural and comforting it is to be in a routine.  Anyway, I’m glad to be back!!

SHOWING OFF MY LATEST SAN'S DESIGNS CREATION:)

Hey everyone!!  Happy Saturday:)  Hope you are having a lovely day.  I'm here today to share my newest SAN'S DESIGNS SHOP creation with you.  This time I have used digi images Pensive and the single mushroom from Shrooms set from SAN'S DESIGNS SHOP.  I merged them using GIMP. This week I decided to use bright and bold colors in contrast to my creations of the past 2 weeks (muted colors and sepia respectively).  I chose these K and Co. papers that I have had forever and combined them with American Crafts and Core-dinations CS.  I love how well the mushroom paper works with these merged images.  Image and frame cut out with Nesties.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and pearls are from Inky Impressions.  Ribbon is from my stash and sentiment, which is cut with Smooches die, is from Papertrey Ink.  I sure hope you like it, would love to hear what you think!!

My card today features DIGITAL DELIGHTS SHOP image “Flower Power Daisy Graduates” along with a sentiment from the “Keeping In Touch” sentiment set.   I have colored Daisy with Copics and cut out with scissors.  I have added a frame behind her cut with Nesties.  Sentiment is daubed with Ranger Distress ink after being cut with Nestie and then pearl added.  I embossed the brown piece of CS with a Sizzix EF.  Pearls are Prima and the diploma sticker in upper right corner is Jolee’s Boutique.  CS are Core-dinations, and American Crafts and DP is K and Co.  Sure hope you like it!!

DISTRESS IT CHALLENGE AT INKY IMPRESSIONS

Hey everyone!  Have you missed me?  I can’t believe it has been almost a week since my last post.  Lots of crazy-ness going on here – most notably that our upstairs AC broke in the middle of some very hot and humid weather about a week ago.  When the guy came out Fri. to fix it, we realized it was still under warranty – made it by 2 months – but it was after 5pm and their office was closed, so we had to wait til Monday to get the new motor put in so that we made sure it was approved to be covered under warranty.  My craft room, which is technically my closet, is up on the end of the 2nd floor over the garage, so even with the AC working, it is not exactly the coolest place in the house, but with no AC, it was like a sauna and I couldn’t even sit in there for any period of time.  Anyhoo, that is why I have been scarce, but I have a lot of projects to share now

SHARING ANOTHER CREATION USING SAN'S DESIGNS IMAGE

Here I am with you again today and this time I am sharing a creation I made with the image A Blushing Bride that can be found at San's Designs Shop along with lots of other amazing images.

I colored this beauty with Copics and went with purples instead of making it look white.  I added silver accents with my Sakura glitter pen and then cut out with Nestie.  I chose Core-dinations papers and DP from SU.  Prima bling and pearls were added as well as sentiment from a clear stamp set I have in my stash.  Sentiment cut with Nestie.  Sure hope you like it!!

For my creation today, I have used CRAFTY SENTIMENTS DESIGNS rubber stamp Yummy Treat.  I have colored this cutie with Copics and cut out with Sizzix die.  I added some Sakura glitter pen as well as Stickles for the frosting on the cupcake on her dress.  Papers are SU, American Crafts and Stardream, DP is My Mind’s Eye.  I added crinkle ribbon and this adorable cupcake pan charm from Karen Foster Designs.  Sentiment is from Inky Impressions and cut out with Verve die.  Sure hope you like it and will come play along!!

For my creation, I chose DIGI DARLA’S DESIGNS image “Water Fairy.”  This is such a lovely image and she was such fun to color with my Copics.  I have then cut her with Nestie and punched hole in top with my hole punch and added Organdy ribbon from JoAnn.  CS is Core-dinations, Bazzill and SU and DP is Prima as is bling.  Flowers are also Prima and ribbon is from SU.  Pocket made using an MFT die.  I hope you like it and will come play along with us!

BUSY WEEKEND, CATCHING UP AND HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!

Hey everyone!!  Sorry I haven’t been around much the last few days.  Before I start my post for today, I want to take this opportunity to wish all mothers out there a Happy Mother’s Day!!  Even if the holiday is not celebrated in your country today, I hope all the moms out there have a wonderful day, surrounded by people you love.  I was very lucky to wake up to wonderful cards and homemade gifts from my kids – made me happy the whole day

 

I want to quick share a creation which I made for Mother’s Day using “Ponytail” image from SAN'S DESIGNS.  I love this wonderful image and she was such fun to color with my Copics and Sakura glitter pen.  I then cut her out with Nestie.  I added papers from Kaisercraft (DP) and CS from Bazzill.  I added crinkle seam binding and bling is from Hobby Lobby.  I created the sentiment using Word and cut out with Sizzix die.  Sure hope you like it and you can check out some of the other DT gals Mother’s Day projects at SAN'S DESIGNS BLOG.

For my card today, I have used CRAFTY SENTIMENTS DESIGNS rubber stamp “Jasmin Chilling in the Sun.”  I love this precious stamp and had such fun coloring her with Copics and Sakura glitter pen.  Image and frame cut with Sizzix dies.  I added a stone wall for her to sit on and some sand under the wall.  I found this awesome sentiment from Dorcerela clear stamps and cut it with L’il Inker die.  Ribbon is from PaperMart and blingy star stickers are from Hobby Lobby.  CS is Bazzill and DP is Bella Blvd.  Sure hope you like it and enjoy the rest of the hop!!

Today’s preview features several more BRAND NEW stamps and I am fortunate enough to have worked with 2 of the new stamps in today’s release.  The first is  “Jasmin Swim with Me,” what a gorgeous image!  I have colored her with Copics and cut out with Nestie.  Background cut with my paper trimmer and rounded corners with EK Success corner rounder.  I used SU papers, flowers from Petaloo and Prima bling.  Sentiment, which is perfect for this card is from Dorcerela Designs.  Sure

Andrew Stamps and it is cut with My Craft Spot die.  Ribbon from PaperMart, charm and twine from Inky Impressions.  Bling and pearls are from Prima.  I sure hope you like this one too.

Today I used these super sweet LITTLE MISS MUFFET STAMPS rubber stamps from the New Release “Forest Friends.”  I have actually used 6 different stamps for my little scene and I had so much fun placing them and coloring this scene.  I added the grass and highlights to the sky using Copics as well as mist of the coloring except for a dash of Sakura pen for hare’s teeth and spots near whiskers, the butterfly’s wings and the dragonfly’s body.  I used papers from American Crafts and DP from Carta Bella in making my easel card.  Sentiment is 2 stamps from Dorcerela and cut wit Nestie.  Button is from DeNami Designs.   Sure hope you like it!
